Chapter 9

It's the last day camping. It wasn't the most fun thing I've done, but I guess it was okay. Sooner or later I'll talk to Jacob because we've planned out whole lives out together and i don't just want to change it up now since something stupid happened. I was already awake just sitting next to Dakota in Camerons tent. He is currently passed out with a bit of drool coming out of his mouth. I thought It was kind of cute.

"Cmon cameron and Lauren we are packing up" someone from outside of the tent says. I'm pretty sure it was Brett. A groan came from Cameron and he sat up. He rubbed his eyes and looked over at me with a smile.

"Good morning" he chirps as he scratches his head. His voice was low in a raspy tone.

"Mornin" I give him a small smile as I start packing my things into my bag. He does the same after a few short minutes. I step out of the tent and walk towards the fire where everyone was at.

"So what are the seating arrangements" Sabrina asks

"The same when we came" Jacob say without hesitation and thought. I raised an eyebrow at him and i certainly know Sabrina did also.

"No Sabrina and I are switching. I'm going into Camerons car the way home" I say as i start walking towards Camerons car. I put my bag in the front seat and helped put away the tents.

Now I know everyone might think Cameron and I are going to be a thing, I don't think that'll happen. I didn't write him into my life goals so I just don't think he'd fit into my crazy life.

We had everything packed in no time. I wasn't really hungry but Caleb made hot dogs for everyone. I sat in the car waiting feeling a bit tired still. I kept Dakota on my lap.

I must've fallen asleep because when I woke up we were already driving. I looked over to see Cameron gripping the wheel. Why did he look so tense. My hearing came into attention. I looked around and saw everyone in the car embracing themselves. The car jolted and started to flip. My head banged around on the dashboard. It hit the window making it shatter. My vision became intense. I couldn't keep my eyes open. I was blacking out my eyes just kept shut. When the car stopped rolling everything seemed to stop. A groan escaped my mouth. I looked around the car was badly damaged. Camerons airbag was the only thing I saw on his side. Mine didn't even deploy. I looked back at Sam he was breathing heavily, but besides a few scratches he seemed fine. I look back at Cameron my head ringed with pain. I couldn't lift my arms up to see if he was alright.

"Sam" I called out in pain. "Check on Cameron" it hurt to talk. My head became stiff i couldn't move it well. I felt Sam move the airbag out of the way to check on Cameron.

"He's still breathing just blacked out I guess" he said. A few seconds later someone was pounding on my window. I gently looked. It was Jacob and he was crying. He tried to open the door, but it was jammed. The sound of sirens rang in my ears. I close my eyes and lay my head back. This will all be over soon. I became tired, really tired.

Lauren's moms pov Gemma;

"Kyrin stop we need to finish this or it'll be too late!" I chuckled as i finished icing the top of Jordan's cake. I mentally groan as I glance at Kyrin he's been scooping icing out of the container while I've been trying to bake. Jordan's birthday is tomorrow and I wanted it to be special. The home phone starts ringing I glance at Kyrin and he groans out loud. He walks over to the phone and answers it. I finish up writing happy birthday Jordan! On the cake and put it away so he could not find it.

"We need to go" Kyrin says as he runs up the stairs. Next thing I know Kyrin and Jordan are running out of the house? I grab the car keys and run with them. I jump into the passenger seat and hand Kyrin the keys.

"What's wrong?" My heart starts racing

"Lauren was in a car accident and in critical condition" he says out of breath as he takes off. I've never thought my kid would be in a car crash. She's always been an excellent and so has Jacob. Tears started to sting my cheeks. I glance back at Jordan he also looked worried. I grabbed his Hand and smiled at him.

"Everything's going to be alright" he fake a smile at him. I honestly don't know if it will, but Lauren's a strong girl. We make it to the hospital and rush inside. Kyrin talks to the lady at the front desk.

"She's in surgery right now. " the lady says trying to calm Kyrin down. Lauren is kyrins whole world. She's had him wrapped around her pinky for her whole life.

"Why is she in surgery?" He demands

"She had internal bleeding. Please take a seat in the waiting room and we will update you when she gets out" the lady says nicely. I grab kyrins arm as he's about to keep yelling.

"Cmon" I rub his arm and pull him towards the waiting room. I don't know who else was in the car, but I except to see Jacobs parents since they are always together, but I didn't see anyone from his family. I kept glancing till my eyes laid on a boy in the corner seat crying with his head in his hands with some friends around him.

"Jacob?" I ask his head shoots up. My heart sank. He got up and ran over to me. I embraced him in a strong hug. "What happened to my baby Jacob?" I question him. He tries to catch his breath before speaking.

"She was in a car crash.. There was a drunk driver and he was coming right for their car so Cameron tried to swerve out of the way, but it was too late and they were hit head on and started rolling down the hill. I'm so sorry" he said. His eyes were blood shot red and his breathing was out of control. I brought him into another hug.

"It's going to be okay" I said while rubbing his back. "It's going to be okay" I repeat.
