Chapter 16

I know I didn't tell you guys about Cameron asking Lauren to prom, but he did. It's also Prom Night.

Prom Night is supposed to be one of the best moments of your Highschool career. Well that is what I heard. I got ready near 12 in the morning, Mom pretty much forced me actually. She did my hair in a pretty way. 

I got to pick out the dress though, It was a cute white color, which I adored. 

Cameron was going to be here at 5 to bring me out to eat. We were double dating it with Jacob and Sabrina of course. My mom helped me with my makeup,  I wasn't much into all of the things she was doing, but I looked pretty fire. 

By the time Cameron came I was just finishing up my mascara. My dad was at the door with him trying to act all big and tough. Cameron didn't even look scared. My dad is not a good actor or anything. I hugged my dad before walking over to Cameron.

"Pictures" my mom yelled from the other room. I looked up at cam he was smiling, but I was rolling my eyes, mom was a picture freak. She told us to do so many poses. The last one she made Cameron kiss my cheek, but I had a different plan and I think he had one on his own. He cupped my cheeks, his thumb rubbing against my skin before he leaned in a kissed me. It was a passionate kiss, but not too long because my dad would interrupt any second. He pulled away with a smile on my face. I looked over at my mom and she just had her eyebrows raised. "That's a keeper" she laughs and then brings me into a hug. "Have fun sweetie" she says and then lets us go.

"That was nice"  I smile at Cameron, he still had a little smirk on his face. 

"Yeah, I liked that a lot" he glances at me again a few more times. It took about 10 minutes to get to our destination, It was just a little restuarant. Cameron opened the car door and the front door for me. Such a gentleman. We found the table where Jacob and Sabrina were already at, They had breadsticks in a cute basket as the centerpiece. Cameron pulled my chair out for me and then pushed it up once I sat down. I had my eyes on Jacob and he had his eyes on Cameron.

"You look so good" I told Sabrina, she always knew how to do makeup. 

"Thank you, you too" she said with a huge smile. I wasn't much into starting conversations, but I can keep them. I felt Cameron's warm hand on my thigh, I can't quite get used to that he always has warms hands. I tingle shoots throughout my leg. I glance at him and smile a bit. Jacob and Sabrina were just talking about something random, I wasn't too interested so I just ignored it. I examined Camerons' face as he listened to Jacob talk, He clenched his jaw a lot, it was honestly one of the hottest things to look at. He looks over at me with his beautiful blue eyes and smiles. We all ordered some food and waited about half an hour for our food to come.  A lot of people were here since its prom night and this is probably one of the best restaurants that has cheap food. I gobbled the food up like a pig, as usual. I found myself taking food off Cams plate also, but he didn't mind as much as I would if that was my food. 

The doors were now opening and people were just arriving to the prom scene.  We arrived a few moments earlier waiting inside the car. We listened to some music for the time to kill. Once a few people walked in we followed behind Janis and her date, Brett? That's cute. I felt cams hand grab mine, we instinctively intertwined our fingers together. I don't know who was controlling the music, but it was pretty good. The first song of the night was a fast beat one. Work by Rihanna. Probably not the best pick, too much twerking. The slow dances were my favorite.  Cameron smelt so nice, It was the second to last slow song and I felt someone pat my shoulder, Jacob.

"Hey cam can I have this dance with Lauren?" he questions him cam nods slowly and walks off. I watched him walk towards the food table, then turned to watch me. I turned to Jacob and put my arms around his neck. The song was Kodaline - All I want, perfect - that's also me rolling my eyes. I laid my head on his chest, I could hear his heart beating faster then usual. I looked up at him, he was already looking down at me. "Did I forget to mention that you look beautiful?" A little blush hit my face, I wanted to hide it though so I looked down at my feet. 

"Thank you" we stayed quiet after that. The song changed back into a fastbeat song and Cameron was already by my side. I felt tension between Cam and Jacob. I stood between them and touched cams arm. He instantly looked down at me with a smile, "Let's dance" I grab his hand and lead him towards the middle of the room. This night is supposed to be fun, no tension, no drama. 

The last song was completely the best it was Make you feel my love by Adele. Cameron was so gentle with dancing and his hand placement was perfect. Not too far up and not too far down. " This has been one of the best nights ever" I whisper quietly, I looked up at Cameron he was a lot different then Jacob, not just the appearance, but the way he looked at me. I can't tell if it love or lust. Our lips immediately touched together. It was probably one of our best kisses. 

"Lauren, would you mind being my girlfriend?" the words coming out of his mouth shocked me. Cameron Bales, one of the hottest and sweetest guys asking me out. I stood there looking at him for what seemed like forever. His facial expressions went from joy to a nervous expression. 

" Of course Cameron" he brings me into an armful hug. Right on cue, the song ended and so did Prom. I heard someone yell 'so where is the after party?' I chuckled and so did a lot of other people. Cameron grabbed my hand as we walked out of the dance. This was honestly a beautiful night.
