The gravity of what we may face in these nine circles terrifies me. What if I don't fore fill my role as the weapon? We'll all be doomed. I've been watching Mason's chest rise and fall for hours now , listening to the night come alive in the jungle.Abel was nice enough to let us sleep here in huts that build up the large treehouse. The weather is beginning to get uncomfortable as the sweat sticks to my skin. I notice then that the jungle has gotten quite , too quiet.
I get out of bed carefully not to make any noise and walk steadily towards the window. My breathing hitches as I gain the courage to look. Oh. Just a stupid monkey. It sits there watching me with round eyes perched on a branch.

Then it smiles, it's teeth more so of a lion as its eyes change to red flames.
"MASON!!"
As soon as I scream the rabid monkey leaps and lands on my chest ripping my shirt till it draws blood. I struggle to fight it off as I swing my arms at its unmoving form. The stinging disappears as Mason cuts its head off in one clean cut.
"Holy shit," I breath out between gasps.
"Are you okay ?" I nod." Come on we need to hurry ... If there was one there will be more." He grabs my arm, lifting me by the waist, half dragging me full speed to the others. I already see the cut healing rapidly - pretty nifty Angel trick right there. What I see when we arrive back on the main platform shocks me stifles.
Forget monkey , these were gorillas. Giant fucking gorillas. They beat across the floor their muscles rippling under their black fur as blood drips from their razor fangs.

"So can we fly away now or wait for them to eat us?" I ask still staring widely at the scene.
"We fight tiger. Stay by me and use this only if you have to. It won't kill only wound so strike where it counts." He passes me a long sharp knife from a table near by. Let's hope I won't have to use this I'll probably end up hurting myself more.
