"I can't believe we're doing this" I groaned fixing my shirt.

Today was Saturday and as we all know, it was the day that Joshua and I are going to the fair together.

"You have to relax. Enjoy yourself because I sure will" Shaira said, finishing the braid she did on the side of her head "Can I fix your hair?" she asked "No" I bluntly replied "But its so unfair" she whined "Well life's unfair" I said jokingly. She only sighed, proceeding with her outfit check. Plain shirt. Shorts and--of course-- Supras.

As for me I wore a graphic tee that had the British flag up --because who doesn't love the British invasion!-- along with shorts and suspenders and of course my Converse "Lets go?" she asked grabbing her back pack "Yea, leggo" I agreed grabbing my bag as well.

Hopefully this day goes well

Josh's POV

I quickly checked my hair, making sure my quiff was perfect. I sighed contently tugging slightly on my plaid button up shirt. I made sure my Khakis were fine and the shoe laces of my black Converse were tied. I checked myself in the mirror again before continuing out the door. I quickly made my way to school, expecting it to be transfomed into a mini carnival. Which it was. Blue, red and white streamers everywhere as if we were in a festival. Four rides scattered amongst our quadrangle and a ton of all kinds of game booths scattered abound. I felt my phone vibrate, not quite hearing it ring because of the loud background.

Fr: Unknown Number

Meet us in the DJ Booth. With some other ppl. Hope ya dont mind ~Shaira

I quickly added her number, wondering how she got mine. I scanned through the sea of people before spotting the booth heading towards it.

"Hey!" I called out, already spotting a familiar small petite figure. She turned around and...wow "You look gorgeous" I breathed out absentmindedly, ignoring the other people that was mere meters from us. Her eyes widened incredibly, her cheeks turning a dark shade of red. I finally came back to my senses

"So which ride first?"

Ira's POV

I glanced at Josh whispering something to Kristine making her giggle. I can't deny the boiling feeling of jealousy that I felt. I tightend my hand slightly in Harold's hand making him look at me. I made sure Josh was looking before pressing my lips to his, immediately asking for entrance practically raping his mouth. Harold pushed me back slightly making me let up "What the hell?" he asked me, not even the slightest of trace that he enjoyed the kiss "I just wanted to... I don't" I stuttered seeing him visibly soften. I know I'm taking advantage but what the heck.

"Its okay, when we get home okay" he said winking. I giggled slightly glancing at Shaira to see her head down. She quickly walked up to Kristine who was busy laughing. She whispered something to her before heading off, away from the group. I jogged up to Kristine, about to ask her what happened but Harold beat me to it "What happened? Is she okay?" he asked hurried, quite concerned if you ask me

"She's going to be okay" Kristine replied but the way she said it seemed like she was convincing herself.

Harold's POV

I had an uneasy feeling right after Shaira left, its been too long.

30 minutes has been to long. I kept looking around hoping I'd see her, no luck so far. I remember telling her I'd go to the fair for her. If I were telling the truth I'd say it was true, she was the reason why I have been enjoying the afternoon.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. Seeing it was Shaira, I quickly picked it up.

"Hello?!" I asked hastilly. All I could hear on the other line was heavy breathing which sent chills down my spine "Hello?!" I yelled into the speaker "Help" I heard her choke out "Shaira?! Where are you?!" I asked panicking, our group coming around me "Help me" she choked before the line went dead. My mouth went slack, thinking this must be a dream "What happened to her" Kristine demanded "I-I don't know she just said "Help me" then the line went dead" I said, fingers shaking as my hand gripped my phone.

"What did she mean by help me?" Kristine asked angrily "I don't know" I yelled in frustration "This is all your fault" she hissed before running towards the canteen while we all followed her, pretty much completly confused. We all followed her upto the girls bathroom "Shaira!" she yelled banging the door that I guessed was locked "Shaira, open up" she yelled turning the knob repeatedly as tears fell from her eyes "Let me" I said pushing her slightly backwards. I started kicking the door, ignoring if it hurt my foot badly. Soon enough Josh was kicking too and the door finally broke open.

I just didn't like what we saw inside.

"Shaira" Kristined sobbed kneeling next to her "You told me you stopped" she said panicky. My eyes were wide, not believing what I see. Shaira had her arm out and a large puddle of blood next to her. Her eyes were bloodshot and she still had the aftershocks of crying. Her other hand was grasping firmly to a piece of broken glass, firm enough to cut the skin there "I'm going to call the ambulance" Ira said proceeding out "No!" Shaira screamed "Please don't" she sobbed into Kristines shoulder, the glass still firmly intack making more cuts. I knelt down beside her, grabing her hand. I slowly massaged her hand until it relaxed enough to let the glass slip from her grip. She looked at me from her position in Kristine's shoulder. I kissed her palm before holding her hand loosely so the cuts wont hurt. She smiled slightly before her eyes started to flutter

"Shaira?!" I asked panicking "Shaira!" Kristine screamed feeling her limp slightly in her arms. The sound of paramedics came and took her away. The blood from her hand still on mine. I chased after them trying to get into the ambulance "Only important people" the paramedic said sternly "I'm her boyfriend" I said without thinking, the tears on my eyes making it most probably believable. I entered the ambulance, next to Kristine before they slammed the door close. I looked outside seeing Ira looking after me and a few other people that saw the commotion but other than that no one else seemed to notice. Josh already left with a cab as Kristine instructed. I can see her pained expression before dissappearing as the car turned the curb. I looked back at Shaira looking sickly and pale. I grabbed her hand as Kristine brushed with her hair. I can feel her squeeze my hand so lightly as if she didn't even.

Why would you do this?

Why did Kristine said it was my fault?

Last but not the least why am I so affected?
