Salvatore Boarding House

The authorities believe last night's assailant may also be related to the missing campers and Park ranger who have yet to be found as well as 25 years old Jessica Koenig, reported missing this morning. The sheriff department says investigations are pending and no further comment will be made.

Exiting the shower a far away look in his eyes flashes from the night before replayed in Damon's head. No doubt he felt guilty about taking the young girls life in his moment of weakness. He had just been so used to not caring he forgot how much it hurt to lose someone. Someone he cared about, in such a short amount of time. Overwhelmed, Damon lost him self, taking his out of control emotions out of the blonde he spilled his heart out to before killing last night. Wrong place. Wrong time.

"Don't feel too bad about it Damon." Damon whipped around quickly to face the source of the voice.

Evangeline Mikaelson sat on the edge of his bed a gentle smile on her face.

"You had a moment, you're entitled." She pacified.

"I don't feel a thing. We went over this already." He waved off walking past her to his dresser.
"Denial-" she began.
"Is just a river or whatever that stupid saying is. Besides, what about you?" He turned the tables rummaging through his top drawer. "I saw that guy you killed last night." He turned showing a know it all grin. "Sloppy if I do say so myself."

Evangeline was taken aback. She hadn't realized anyone was around last night when the pervy rapist attempted to take her, let alone Damon. It was often she lost control like that, to be caught was embarrassing. Clearing her throats, she searched for the words to say before settling for something simple.

"I myself merely had a moment."
"You're just like me." Damon scoffed. "You put up this mother Teresa act but you have just as much blood on your hands as I do."
"Au contrar, sir, maybe it is you who carry some of my 'Saint' like traits as you put it." She raised a perfectly arched eyebrow.

It was Damon's turn to keep quiet. He knew he was changing, and though he would never seriously admit it, it was for the better. As quiet as its kept, he hated who he used to be. Hated the terrible relationship he had with his younger brother, whom he use to be so close with. Hated always being the bad guy. It felt good to be on the winning side for once.

"You've built yourself quite the wall Damon." Evangeline commented tearing him away from his thoughts.
"Takes on to know one." He teased causing he to roll her eyes, a small smile playing at her lips.
"Childish."
"Turns you on." He winked.

Head tilted slightly as she stared taking in his appearance completely. She'd be lying to herself if she said she wasn't checking him out. Looking away almost bashfully she stood to her feet, looking everywhere but at him.

"My apologies Damon. I wasn't aware that you were indecent."

Just like that she was gone. Leaving Damon to wonders what the look was that passed over her face before she departed. Most girls would be drooling at the sight of him shirtless, hell with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waste, body glistening with a faint coat of water from the shower he'd taken minutes ago. But not her. She didn't seem bothered by him in the slightest, which in turn, bothered him.
