Chapter 37:

I headed out the gate of my house to see Mark waiting for me, he smiled as soon as he caught sight of me, I smiled back and walked towards him. He then pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head. This is new, but I'm not complaining. He then intertwined his fingers with mine then we headed to school.

"You seem to be in a good mood today?" I asked him.

"It's because I have a surprise for you" He told me, I just gave him a confused look.

Surprise? For me? Okay who is this guy and where is my cold Mark Tuan at? He's acting unusually sweet, it feels weird.

"A surprise? That's so unlike you" I said chuckling.

"I think it's about time I do something romantic for my girlfriend, we've been going out for a while now anyways" He said "I'll give you my surprise gift later after class, don't make other plans okay? Meet me at the playground at the park around 5"

"If you say so" I said, I'm starting get really excited, I wonder what Mark is planning.

"It's really cold today, are you cold?" Mark asked, I smiled and shook my head in response, it was colder than usual today but I didn't mind, I feel warm inside because of Mark anyways.

"I'm fine, I should be asking you that since you don't really have winter in California, January is usually the coldest time" I told him.

"I'm good, I got used to the cold weather here in Seoul" He stated

As we arrived in school, we were warmly greeted by GOT7 who were also oddly hyper today, what's with everyone being in a cheerful mood today?

"You guys know what today is right?" Bambam asked cheerfully

"Monday?" I asked confused, everyone then gasped dramatically at me. Am I missing something?

"I knew she forgot" Mark said chuckling "air-head as usual"

"What?" I asked completely lost.

"It's your 7th month anniversary day Minyoung-ah" JB said chuckling "You're in a relationship and you forgot the most important event in every relationship?"

"Today is 17?" I asked completely dumbfounded, they all just nodded at me in response. Crap! No wonder Mark was being sweet today! I didn't get him anything!

"I forgot, Mark I'm sorry" I said as I gave him a 90 degrees bow of apology "It slipped my mind, I'm sincerely sorry"

"Yah! Don't do that, everyone's staring!" Mark said as he made me stand up straight "It's not a big deal Minyoung-ah, I knew you forgot anyways"

"Mark-hyung must treat Minyoung-noona badly if she's completely under him" Yugyeom said laughing loudly with Bambam

"I don't treat her badly" Mark retorted "She's just very... submissive"

"Let's just head to class, we're going to be late" JB said as he ended the weird conversation. We all just nodded in response except for Mark who was rummaging through his bag.

"You guys go ahead, I left my Math textbook at home, I'll be right back" He said to us.

"Want me to come with you?" I asked worried, we had a 100 points homework on the textbook, I can't believe he forgot it.

"Ani, It will just be a quickie" He said, he then pulled me towards him and gave me a kiss on the lips "I'll be right back, don't forget later okay? 5 o'clock, no matter what, wait for me." He reminded me, I smiled and nodded in response, he then gave me another kiss before heading to the direction of our neighborhood.

"Mark-hyung is very affectionate today" Youngjae said as we watched Mark jogged home.

"I know right? It feels weird" I said chuckling as we headed to our classrooms.

Mark's POV:

After saying goodbye to Minyoung and the guys, I quickly jogged home to get my Math textbook, this is the first time, I'm usually well organized. As I was about a block away from school, I heard someone call out my name.

"Mark Yi-En Tuan" Wendy said as she was leaning on the a wall of one of the buildings

"What are you doing here?" I asked confused, I thought she went back to California a few months ago

"Just visiting" She said as she stood up and walked towards me "That girl you were with, she's really cute, is she your girlfriend?"

"What's it to you?" I asked, I'm a little worried she found out about Minyoung, will this ruin my chances of going home to California? Will she tell Minyoung about our deal? I'm pretty much screwed right now.

"I don't know, why don't we ask her?" Wendy asked cockily "I wonder how I should introduce myself? 'Hi I'm Wendy, Mark's ex-girlfriend that he's begging to get back together with' how does that sound?"

"Wendy—" I stared off but she interrupted me before I could finish

"What's the matter Mark? Afraid your little girlfriend will find out that you're trying to get back together with me and go back to California?" She asked smirking at me

"Wendy, I swear to God if you just so much as talk to her—" I said

"What?" She asked "what are you going to do? Don't forget you need me to get your old life back"

"I just don't want her hurt okay?" I growled "I don't want her to know about any of this"

"Oh~ It seems like Mark Tuan is madly inlove with this Kwon Minyoung" She said chuckling "I haven't seen this protective side of you since the X-Games"

"Look, what do you want?" I asked getting fed up with her crap

"Walk with me, Talk with me" she said as she gestured me to follow her, all I could do was sigh and do as what she said, or else she might tell Minyoung everything. I don't want Minyoung hurt this way and I definitely don't want her to find out about all of this from anyone except me.
