Ch9: New day of work with a new friend

So right when I went on twitter (@TakeMayHome) this morning, #CongratsZaynAndPerrie was trending. Then I found out they're engaged, holy cheese balls! I hyperventilated for like 20 minutes straight. I am so happy for them, they are adorable and I think they will make it work. I love zerrie so much <3

I am still really shocked about it so that's why I had to mention it lol

Chapter 9: New day of work with a new friend

"Good morning Elizabeth." I hug my mum's friend slash boss.

"Good morning Skylar. Did you have a good weekend?" She asks me.

"Yes I did." I smile at her. "Did you?"

"I did too, thank you for asking." I nod and awkwardly go past her to go into the play room area. When I go in I see there are about 5 kids. Where did all of them go?

"Hi Skylar." Harry waves at me with a smile. His pearly whites are showing along with his dimples. He has a cute smile. I smiles back.

"Hey Harry. How are you?" I ask as I walk closer to him.

"I'm great, and you?" He looks at me.

"I'm doing well." I show him another smile. The kids come up to me saying hi.

"Hi Maddie. Hey Josh. Good morning everyone! Are you doing well on this Monday morning?" I ask them. They reply to me with nods and a 'yes'. Then they go back to what they were doing before.

"Where is everyone?" I ask Harry. He shrugs. We both sit on the sofa.

"Have no clue." It gets quiet for a bit and in the corner of my eye I notice Harry looking at me with his mouth open then closes it the next second. I look at him. "Erm..can I ask you something?" He looks down at his hands and plays with the rings on his fingers.

"Sure, shoot." I smile at him so he can relax a bit.

"Did you - umm - did you tell your friends that you work with me?" He says very quietly. He looks up at me.

"My friends are my friends, I tell them almost everything but I know that you want this to be a secret since no one knows about it and I will keep it that way." I smile at him. "It's none of their business, they don't need to know." I add. He smiles at me.

"Thank you." I nod at him.

There are still many questions going through my mind. So many. Like the event that no one talks about, why Harry changed, why is he working here, why doesn't he talk to anyone. So many questions I still have unanswered but I know it's a very personal question for him and now is not the right time to ask them.

"Another question." Harry says. "Why did you give me your number yesterday?" He gives me a small smirk. I laugh.

"I think you are very kind, you helped me calm down a bit when I was freaking out on the ride and I wanted to know officially if we are friends so I thought why not." I give a small shrug. "Now I have a question for you." He looks up at me with his eyebrows raised. I could sense he is a bit nervous as to what I am going to ask. "What's your full name?" He chuckles. "What?" I ask confused.

"I thought you were going to ask a more personal kind of question." He smiles at me.

"I want to get to know you first." I smile at him.

"Well it is Harry Edward Styles."

"That's a cool name." I say truthfully.

"And what's your full name?"
