"Are you ready to go? We've gotta leave!" My mother, Marie, said as she poked her head into my bedroom.
I nodded. She walked in and helped me grab a few bags to bring downstairs.
I followed her out of my room with my carry-on and one of my suitcases.
She abruptly stopped and glanced to the left of my room.
"You're not taking you guitar?" She asked, a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"Umm no. I wasn't going too."
"Why don't you bring it Caitlin? Kimberly, Reid, and Neil will have theirs I'm sure." She said looking me directly in the eyes. When she did that you knew she meant business and didn't want you to argue with her.
I sighed dramatically and then dropped my things to grab my guitar.
Downstairs, we met my dad who had everything else in the car already.
"Lets go!" He said excitedly as he pushed us both out the door. He couldn't wait to see Kimberly, Reid, and Neil.
We drove to the airport, and then got on a plane from there, to fly to Florida.
We would get there at about 3 in the afternoon and Kimberly, Reid, and Neil would be flying in later that night from Canada and meeting us at the house at about 7.
So for me that means I get 4 hours of peace on vacation before they come.

We pulled into the huge, 2 story beach house that overlooked a beach that seemed to go on for miles and miles. It was so beautiful.
After we got out we went and looked through the whole entire house. It had a nice kitchen, front room, dinning room, and living room all on the first floor. The first floor also had a perfect veiw of the beach because there was huge windows that overlooked the beach and the ocean.
Upstairs, the first bedroom we saw was the largest that also had a large bathroom attached, which wil be my parents bedroom. Then as we walked down the hall I noticed that there was only 3 bedrooms and 4 kids.
I turned around to face my parents, "You know there are only 3 bedrooms and 4 of us, right?"
My dad chuckled a little, "Well I guess you will have to share then!"
Share!? I was not "sharing" my bedroom for a month! I know that may sound like I'm a brat, but I didn't want to come here in the first place and not even having a room to myself made it 10 times worse.
"Well can we just have Reid and Neil share then?" I asked as polietly as possible.
"Well.... we were actually thinking you and Kim would share," my mom told me.
My mouth dropped open. They were REALLY going to make me share a room for a month with my 30 year old sister who I haven't even really talked to for months?!
"You guys are kidding right!? Why can't Reid and Neil share? They're used to sharing anyway!" I desperatly tried to convince them.
My mom laughed at my state of desperation, "Caitlin. It will be fine! You never get to see or talk to Kimberly anyway. Maybe it's time for y'all to rebond. I don't know what the big deal is!"
There was no use in even trying to reason with them. I was stuck with sharing a room with Kimberly.
"Whatever," I muttered to them as I walked into my room feeling a little defeated. I shut the door behind me.
The first thing I noticed in my new bedroom was the 2 beds on the far side of the room. Both doubles with matching bedding. I decided to go with the bed on the farther away from the door, and that was also closer to the window.
I slid my guitar case under my bed and then hauled my suitcase onto my bed. I guess I better start unpacking and claiming the closet space now. Because Lord only knows how much crap Kimberly will bring with her!
After I unpacked my clothes I walked into our fairly small bathroom that was attacted to our bedroom. I quickly distrubted and put away a few of my bathroom essentials. I then went back dowstairs to join my family before my older siblings came in a few hours.
For the rest of the evening, we ended up going for a walk on the beach, which was so fun! And then we ordered pizza to the house and we rented my favorite movie (and Neil's), Lord of the Rings! We stopped it half way through though, because they are soooo long!
Now, I'm sitting on laptop in my room. And I'm pretty sure Neil, Kimberly, and Reid just got here but I don't really feel like going out to meet them. If they want to see me they can come find me.
I was switching back and forth from watching videos on Youtube and checking my Twitter.
Suddenly, there was a slight knock on the door and before I could even answer, somebody came in. I didn't look up to see who it was though. I kept my head down and focused on my computer screen.
Probably realizing I wasn't going to acknolwedge their presence, a very southern-like, peppy voice started to speak, "Well hey stranger!"
It was Kimberly.
After I read a few more tweets, I finally looked up at her. She looked a little tired, but still put together. Her hair and makeup was done and she was wearing her signature dress with boots look. Something about her though.. she looked older then I remember.
She held out her arms for me to come hug her, still standing by the door, "Come here, kiddo!"
I gave her a slight smile. I didn't want to be completly rude.... So against my will I got up slowly and walked over and she embraced me in a hug. This felt so unfamiliar. Right now, she seems more like a stanger then anything. A stranger I now had to share my room with, that is.
We finally pulled away. I was basically the same height as her now. Last time we saw each other I think I came up to her shoulder.
Kimberly took a step back and looked me up and down, "Wow! You're so big! And pretty! Oh my gosh you've grown so much!"
Well that's what I happens when you don't come around for 9 months.
Instead of saying that, I just smiled.
"Do you want go out and say hi to the boys? They've been dying to see you! That's all they talked about on the way home!"
Wow really? They wanted to see.. me?
"No that's ok. I'll say hi later." I simply said.
Kimberly looked at me right in the eyes and gave me a confused look. She probably thinks I'm just as excited to see them as they were to see me. She's gonna get a rude awakening.
Before she could question me she was getting pushed out of the doorway and 2 bodies came in and attacked me,
"CAITLIN!!!!!"
