The next morning, or afternoon I should say, I woke up to a pounding headache. I rolled over and looked at the clock. It read: 1:12 pm. I must have been exhausted from my little adventure last night because I never sleep this late.

That's when I remembered all the events that had occured in the past 24 hours. The fight. The run. The beach. Coming back. Neil and I. I remember it all. Things got a little out of hand last night, and just thinking about it made my head throb even harder. My parents come back today for our last week of vacation, and I just want to put everything behind us. Not only from this vacation, but from the past couple months. I'm finally ready to forgive them and straighten out our bent relationship.

I roll out of bed and decided to make my way to the living room. To my surprise, my siblings were no where to be found. I quickly did a full search of the house before finally going outside to look. I walked out on our deck that overlooked the entire beach behind our house. The waves were calm, and the gray, cloudy sky seemed to fit the mood perfectly. I quickly located my siblings. They were all standing down by the water together. They seemed to be the only humans down there for miles. It was as if everything was deserted.

I walked down the beach, taking in everything. Even though I had basically spent an entire month here, I had probably only been down to this beach 5 times. I made a mental note to come down here a lot more in the next week.

"Hey kiddo!" Kimberly said as I approached them. They all had their shoes off, and were letting the waves crash into to their feet as they stood a perfect distance away from the water.

"Hey. How long have y'all been out here?"

I watched as the gusts of wind blew their wild hair into their faces. Mine was doing exactly the same.

"Only about 20 minutes. We were actually going to go get lunch soon and then go get mom and dad from the airport if you want to go." Reid offered.

They probably expected me to say no. They probably expected a rude comment or an eye roll. But I did none of that. I figured I'd surprise them, "I'd actually love to come."

As I expected, they exchanged stunned looks.

"Really?" Neil asked genuienlly surprised,"Wow... that's great!"

I gave them a half smile. I just wanted this last week to be perfect. I was willing to make everything work.

We went back up to the house, and then quickly after we left for lunch. At lunch, we had a lot of fun telling stories and laughing about things we did as kids. After lunch we all went to go pick up mom and dad from the airport. I'm sure my parents were more than surprised when they saw us all happy and smiling. It was nice to finally feel that sense of belonging and happiness. It was kind of as if, something that had been missing in me, was now filled. It was as if this past year I had just been so unhappy and... Lonely. I was lonely without my brothers and sister. I needed them with me. I needed them here.

That night, we all sat out by a bonfire by the beach. Kimberly, Reid, and Neil brought out their instruments and they played and sang for hours with us. They even let me play with them. They told me how talented I was and how they couldn't believe I had never told them about any of it. I even questioning it now myself. I mean, this past year I wasn't doing myself or anyone else any favors by just completely shutting them out and not telling them anything.

The rest of our vacation was perfect. Just as we did before, we spent the mornings down at the beach as a family, then at night we would all sit out by the campfire and play music. Through out the week  I even worked up the nerve to play them a few of my orignial songs. They seemed to really enjoy those more than anything! Then every night before we went to bed, Kimberly and I would just sit in our dark room and talk. We talked about love, life, boys, the past, the present, and the future. Those moments were the ones I loved most. I learned a lot about Kimberly on those nights, and I'm sure she learned alot about me.
