POV:Owen
Looking around the room, I can't help but feel my heart swell with affection for the sight in front of me. Our beautiful Sang snuggled between the Taylor brothers, a small smile on all of their sleeping faces. It is a shame to wake them, but time waits for no one and we have to get the day started. Just as I am about to call to North, Sang's eyes drift slowly open. She gazes at me and gives me a grin. Shifting a bit, she tries to wiggle out from between the brothers, but North is having none of that. He tightens his hold on her and snuggles down deeper in the blankets. Luke also latches on to her, holding her close to him. She gives me a flabbergasted look and pleads for my help. I reach for her and gently pluck her straight up out of the reach of the boys. In their sleep state, they notice the missing body and search for it, finding each other. Stifling our laughter, Sang pulls out her phone and takes a picture just as North wakes up, sending it to the whole group.
Sang and I head upstairs to start breakfast. Preparing the casseroles ahead of time is a stroke of genius. She puts them in the oven and turns it on. I can't wait to try them. We get to work cutting the apples and bananas for the fruit salad. Sang dips the the fruit in orange juice to keep it from turning brown. We work in relative silence, only talking when necessary. I am not sure if she is worried about something or if she is just working hard.
"Sang, is everything okay?" My curiosity gets the best of me and I have to break the silence.
"I think everything is okay. I was just wondering if last night was going to change anything between you all and myself. I worry that the questions that were asked were too much for us for right now."
"It may change things. Relationships grow and change all of the time. I, for one, am looking forward to spending more time with you alone. We will have to be careful because of the school, but I want to get to know you more intimately," as I say this, Sang turns toward me and I pull her flush against me. Her eyes close involuntarily as I lower my head to kiss her. It starts out as a sweet kiss, but quickly gains passion as Sang takes over showing me what she wants. I really can't wait to spend more alone time with this wonderful young lady.
Stomping sounds coming up the stairs pulls us out our little cocoon and back in to the real world. Luke grins as he enters the kitchen. "What were you two doing? Hmmmm... Maybe I should be here to supervise so the kitchen doesn't catch on fire."
The only thing on fire right now is my feelings for Sang. "That won't be necessary, Luke. We have everything under control up here."
"I'm sure you do, Mister...Owen. How about I just go set the table then and you can get back to what you were doing?" I can see Sang's blush as she turns back to the fruit that we were cutting.
"Owen, could we do this again, but it be just the two of us? I like being in your home," Sang asks as shyly.
"I would love to have you over again, Darling. We will work out a schedule so that you are with me regularly. I think that a schedule needs to be established anyway. Some of my brothers have expressed that they don't get to see you often enough." A small frown appears on her face.
"I try to divide my time equally, but it is hard sometimes. I would also like to have a meal with everyone together at least once every week, preferably more often. And another thing, what are we doing for spring break? We really only have a few weeks."
"Let's address all of these concerns at breakfast. How much longer, do you think?" I look over to the oven. Sang didn't set any timer.
They should be done in a few minutes. The egg and sausage casserole should come out first. The other two need a few minutes longer. I have been keeping track of the time, Owen. I almost never use a timer because I just know when to take something out." Another little talent of hers.
