Chapter 13

The next day I woke up really really late .

I go downstairs and stretch. I'm still a little tired but I'm already awake.

When I get to the kitchen Gerard is already there .

" Someone was tired." Gerard says

" Well planning a party takes a lot of energy out of you." I say

" It was an awesome party though. It made me feel really special ." Gerard says

" Gee you are special ." I say

" Sometimes I don't feel like it though." Gerard says

" But you are don't forget it Gee." I say

" Ok thanks Lyssa." Gerard says

" No problem it's what I'm here for." I ask

" I have some work for you to do actually." Gerard says

" Ok. I'll get it done." I say

" First have some breakfast. I'm not much in the kitchen ." Gerard says

" It's ok." I say

He makes some coffee and hands it to me . Then a few minutes later a plate of slightly burnt pancakes is set in front of me.

" Sorry if they're slightly burnt. Like I said I'm not much in the kitchen." Gerard says

I jump up and hug him. He is surprised at first but then hugs back.

" It's ok. No ones really tried to cook for me before. Except for Liza and her parents." I say

He smiles is signature Gerard Way smile.

" Thanks. You've really made me feel better." Gerard says

" No problem ." I say

He sits across from me and I eat my pancakes.

" These are really good actually." I say

"Really?" Gerard asks

" Yea they are super good." I say

He smiles at me and I smile back .

" Yesterday was so much fun." Gerard says

" I'm glad you enjoyed it." I say

" I really do owe you one." Gerard says

" You don't owe me anything Gee. " I say

" But I kind of do." Gerard says

" Really you don't. I was being nice." I say

" I know but I really want to thank you. It really meant a lot to me." Gerard says

" I think you just thanked me." I say as indicate toward the pancakes

" I was just doing that because I could." Gerard says

" Really cause it seemed like you were trying to thank me." I say

" Ok fine I guess I was when I made the pancakes." Gerard says
