Chapter 1

~Hi Guys, this is the first book i am posting so just tell me what you think sorry for grammar and stuff ~

"Jen wake up don't you dare close your eyes on me, look at me please" a voice echoed around me while the world around me was being shaken. "Jen please,please, don't leave me like this wake up wake up!Jennifer wake up!" the voice slowly faded away as my vision turned white.

My life couldn't get any worse. Life really did like to throw everything it had at me, Jennifer . I am 16 and I go to a beautiful school called 'Bayshore High' where people like me are outcast, not seen and bullied for no good reason which is a great example of global society and of humanity for that matter. Trust me thats not even the start of my bad life, four years ago my parents were murdered which still remains a mystery who killed them due to the lack of evidence and police interest. To add of the hell fire of my life I live with my 23 year old brother who is my designated career despite being abusive to me in nearly every way. So much so that I have to wear layers of make up and clothes to hide my bruise on my wrists and face. You probably ask why don't I tell anyone, well he's the reason. He says if i tell anyone his face will be the last one I'll ever see. The only things that are pleasant in my life is books and me laptop and phone to escape my cruel reality along with the locket with the picture of my mother and father in it. My one true friend Diana Spade is also one of the most amazing things in my life. My true guardian angel that has been by my side through thick and thin.

It was a normal Friday, I was sitting at the back of the class looking out the window which was next to where I was sitting listen to the teacher go on about something I already knew. What I would give to be a bird where I could just fly away from my troubles, away from my life.

Ding-Bing-Don-Bring -Ding ringed through the building as the lass bell went for the day as all the class packed up a rush out of the room.

That rush was interpreted by a crude voice, "hey book brain, what you doing oh wait nobody cares ".

I looked up to see Autumn. The main
bane in my existence, "yeah, nobody likes you!", her two sidekicks Cherry and Glimmer said with plastic smiles. Honestly who would even name there child Cherry or Glimmer, I mean they have a problem. I grab my bag and tried to get around them to the exit, trying not to add attention to the drama.

" What are you thinking lowlife? Royals go first", Autumn said as she pushed my to the floor as she and her sheep walked out of the room.

I stayed on the floor until they left 'Finally their gone' . I sighed in relief as I picked myself up.

"Jen are you in here? If you don't come we are going to miss the bus". I looked to see my beautiful best friend Diana "yeah I am here but I think I am going to walk home today if you don't mind", I said as I tried to put on a smile.

"Oh... Ok sure. Text me later ok? See you on Monday", Diana said in a worried tone.

My house wasn't that far away from school only about a 15 minute walk until
I would reach the small two bedroom single floor wooden house my with my crazy brother.

I walk to the smell of alcohols and to see Ward, my brother on the couch surrounded by bottles of alcohol passed out. Unmoved by the scene as it is quite a daily occurrence I quietly walk pass him in my bed room where I am finally safe.
