Chapter 4

Wow guys im finally back and I'm going to continue unloved so i need a lot of support from u all

"Alpha Jake" I said in a stern voice. "For the past two weeks you have been drowning yourself in alcohol"After what Jake said about not wanting a mate at all I kept a close eye on him but he keeps drinking.
"What is your problem can't you leave me alone" he whisper yelled "Must I always meet you here" he said, his voice sounding sloppy. He looked me in the eye and frowned. I felt like laughing cause he just looked so funny and cute. No doubt that he was very handsome.
"Alpha please you need to stop this now" his face remained expressionless. "An alpha can't run his pack in a drunken state"
"Firstly do not ever command me and secondly I only get drunk late at night when I'm not busy"
I didn't know what to do instead I just stood looking.
Before I knew it I blurted out the question that had been disturbing me "why don't you want a mate? "
He looked at me shocked.
"Whats that got to do with you, you're just a slutty maid who works here" I glared at him but he stayed unmoved. I swear if he wasn't my alpha I could have slapped him hard right across the face. Who was he calling a slut?
"Alpha Jake if you tell me now I promise I won't disturb you" he looked uncertain "and you know what they say a problem shared is a problem half solved" I added making sure to give a little friendly smile.
"Fine I don't want a mate because I just don't want one" I really thought he was gonna tell me.
He smiled satisfied with my expression then started heading towards his room. "I'm going to bed"
I quickly blocked the way so he couldn't get away. "You must surely have a reason for not wanting a mate. "
He scoffed and gave a little laugh.
"I'm serious, it's not funny. "I said getting a little frustrated "Your mate is the best thing that will ever happen to you, your other half, your everything and anyone who doesn't want a mate must be the most stupid and insane person ever. " I didn't mean to say the last part, it just came out. I really expected him to flip but he just rose an eyebrow.
"Thanks for the oh so amazing speech." Take note of the sarcasm.
This is hopeless. He wouldn't even be serious. I was about leaving when he stopped me.
I turned back facing him.
"I'll tell you about my so depressing life since I obviously don't have anything better to do."
"Well when I was still little having a mate meant everything to me but then I met this girl named Cassandra when I was 15 and we fell I love." I tried reading him to see any sign of dishonesty or a sign that he was joking but i couldn't find any. "You fell in love at 15? "I couldn't help but question.
"Yea I did. Cassandra and I promised that we would always be together even if we weren't mates but apparently she left when she found her mate and I vowed to myself that no matter what I would never stop loving her andi would keep our promise."
I was really dumbfounded because I thought the story was sad and somewhat stupid but i did understand his pain.
"So how does this apply to your drinking? "
"When I meet my mate the bond between us will be strong and it will keep getting stronger and I'll be forced to love her. "
I had to replay his statement before I knew he had really said what he said.
"How will you be forced? "
"I wouldn't voluntarily love her it's the bond that will make me love her. " he said yawning.
Before I could say anything else Jake stared heading to his room but this time I didn't stop him since I had gotten my answers which seemed ridiculous by the way. I went back to my room but i couldn't sleep. Everything Jake said replayed and I prayed that Jake wouldn't be my mate because I wouldn't want someone like that as my mate. I later gave in to sleep after a long day.
