Chapter 6

I ran down the stairs faintly hearing their goodbyes and before I knew it I was in the living room.
Wow that was fast and noise less. How did I do that?
I breathed heavily before realising that one of them would be able to catch my scent which was still very strong but oddly he came down the stairs and passed by me as if nothing happened.
Ok that was weird.
Maybe they pretended not to hear or smell me, but why would they do that?
"Umphh" I turned around bumping into someone.
I must have been too pulled in my thoughts that I didn't hear him.
"I'm sorry. "I said to the stranger .
"No problem, darling " I looked up and stared into very lovely brown eyes with gold specks in them. I suddenly felt drawn to him.
And did he just call me darling?

I looked at the stranger who had a very lovely smile which took my breath away. I took in his appearance and he looked really cool like all this bad boys in movies. He was really hot but just looking at him you would know that he was trouble, it was like he stamped 'trouble' on his forehead.
He too was taking in my appearance and I felt embarrassed because I really wasn't good looking.
I cleared my throat.
He smirked then extended his hand. I was so shocked.
"Oh no, please don't hit me" I brought my hands in front of my face to prevent him from hitting me.
He looked confused at first then understanding showed.
"Relax I'm not gonna hurt you" he took my hands away from my face and his touch send sparks down my body. "I just wanted to introduce myself"
I sighed in relief. "Ohhh"
"I'm Elliot, and you are? "
I brought out my hand and he took it. "I'm -----"that's when I felt the sparks and from the look on his face he felt it too. I decided to ignore it and continue when he growled "---MATE!! "
I was kinda shocked but then I gave him a half hearted smile. "Actually I was going to say Mia. I'm Mia".
He looked at me with so much intensity that I thought that I was going to melt. I was actually getting captivated by his beautiful eyes and handsome face.
Suddenly there came a cough from the other side of the room making me jump .
Since I was facing that side I didn't need to turn but the stranger --- Elliot turned.
It was Alpha Jake. He looked at the both of us before scoffing ."Ha my dear cousin would always go for any girl even a maid."Cousin? I looked at the both of them they did look a bit alike .
Elliot just had a smirk on his face "Is that how do greet your dearest cousin that you haven't seen in a long time ?" He asked seemingly amused. Alpha Jake just ignored his comment "What are you doing here?" He asked rudely "Did you come to look for girls to sleep with because you've slept with the other girls in your pack? I looked at Elliot shocked and he didn't look a bit affected by Alpha Jakes cruel words. "Actually that would have been nice but no thats not why I came. I came because father has been pestering me about getting a mate and I was tired of it I decided to leave the pack and come here for some time."
Alpha Jake just looked at him with disbelief ."So you left your duties as an Alpha to come here because your father was telling you to look for your mate." Elliot nodded "You are unbelievable"
"Actually I'm not because if I didn't come here I wouldnt have found my mate" I just looked on shocked before it clicked to me .I was his 'mate'
He called me his mate.I was such a slow brained person.I was about to leave before Alpha Jake found out but his voice stopped me."And where is this so called mate of yours ?"
Oh no!!!
The ground should just open up and swallow me.
"She's right here" Elliot said pulling me closer as sparks went through my body again . Alpha Jake turned in my direction .
Could this day get any worse.
