Ravens POV

*6:30pm*

I was laying down on the bed, my hands in my hair, my eyes fixed on the ceiling. Deion still paced back and forth, mumbling about God knows what. I sighed and closed my eyes, there was no use just laying here any longer, may as well make use of the comfortable bed they have in here.

--

After a while, I felt myself slowly slip away into a peaceful sleep. My breathing was calm and everything was quiet.. Mind you, I was doing by best to ignore Deion's mumbling. I heard Deion stop pacing and mumbling. I opened my eyes and noticed him staring at the door knob. The door opened to reveal Austin, standing in the door way.

"You both must be hungry." He said plainly, exiting the door way. I looked at Deion who was looking back me. I smirked and gave him the 'I told you so' look. He rolled his eyes and signalled to follow Austin. I sighed and got up from the comfortable bed, following Austin while Deion followed closely behind me.

--

My wolf longed to be closer to Austin, she wanted to touch him and keeping her at bay was getting more and more difficult, but nothing I couldn't handle.

"Thank you for the tea, mum." Austin said, glancing over to the older woman who was sitting next to him. Austin then cleared his throat and looked between Deion and I.

"I am aware you both are siblings, although, one thing makes me think otherwise. Siblings generally have a similar scent, yet, you both have completely different scents. Which makes me wonder what else you both are lying about." Austin said, looking directly at me as he finished talking, topping it off with a glare. I couldn't help but feel a little hurt. I pulled my eyes away from Austin and looked at Deion, waiting for him to come up with a reasonable solution for Austins theory.

"We have different fathers, my father happened to be a a simple fling, so to speak, hers was our mothers mate. Hence the major difference in appearance, scent and species." He said calmly. Austin seemed to be thinking about what Deion told him, probably trying to find something that would hinder his statement. Although eventually, he nodded, somewhat admitting his defeat.

"Well, my name is Jane." Austins mother said, breaking the silence. I smiled slightly at her.

"Raven." I replied, greeting her, "This is my brother Deion." Deion nodded at her, not giving eye contact. I frowned slighting but ignored Deion's completely disrespect, as an older man sat down at the table, his presence admitting power. He must be Austins dad.

"Good evening." he said, sitting at the table.

"Well, now that everyone is here, let's enjoy this meal and eat!" Jane said, breaking the short silence once again. I looked down and noticed the food on my plate for the first time. My stomach growled. I looked at Deion, wondering if we should eat the meal or leave it. Deion didn't look at me though, he just looked right at Austins dad, then to Austin, then back again. This made me frown but I decided not to ponder on what was going on in his mind. I just sat on my hands and kept my eyes on my lap.

After a minute or two, I heard Austin growl only slightly, before he quickly stopped himself from growling more.

"Why aren't you two eating? Are you not aware that is disrespectful and a stupid thing to do in your position?" Austin asked, returning Deion's glares. Deion shrugged.

"We'll be leaving soon, a close friend of ours will be picking us up and he'll sort out any further issues you dogs have." I shot Deion a look, was he trying to get killed?! Obviously. Austin and his father growled, their eyes turning slightly golden, indicating their wolves were trying to take over. I felt my devil become a little defensive over Deion. We didn't want our one of our own to be hurt or killed.
