-One Month Later-
Ravens POV

It took a while, but I was able to convince Deion to stay with me in Austins pack. Surprisingly, he was scared of Caspian and it wasn't until he told me that I realised he was. Now all the little things made sense; joining in on my mission, purposely leaving for school without me, his hesitation on going out, etc. He did it all because he was scared, just like a little pup.

Austin and his dad have made us stay in the same room, under supervision for the last month. It's been hard but I got to know Deion better, the real him.

Turns out he actually is 25 years old and had a family back home, which was how he ended up working for Caspian. He worked to keep his family alive. Within the month we got to know each other, I found myself deeply envying him. He showed me photos of his mate and daughter and even the latest ultrasounds of his new baby. He had a family, better yet he knew them. I can't even imagine knowing what something like that feels like.

I sat on the king sized bed, looking out the window, thinking bout families, when a knock on the door snapped Deion and I out of our silent thoughts.

I sighed as Deion opened the door to reveal the beta, Cole, standing at the door.  He smiled at Deion and I before he pulled out an envelope. I sighed again, knowing it wasn't for me.

"This is the last bit of mail you'll receive from your family, Deion." Cole said, looking between the envelope and Deion.

"What, why?" Deion yelled, panicked. My head snapped around to face Cole, worried for Deion.

"Because we found out where they were being kept and they'll be here by dinner." Cole said smiling brightly at Deion. I smiled and turned back around to face the window. I heard Deion feet move and then Cole gasp as he was engulfed in a hug.

"Thank you so much." Deion said, I could hear the tears in his eyes.

"No problem, we've relocated you to another room to suit you and your family's needs. Once they're here, you may join the pack." Cole informed Deion, once they weren't hugging. I could tell Deion must have been speechless. All he wanted was to be with his family, safe and sound. Wether that meant joining a pack or moving deep into the mountains, I knew Deion would do it if it meant keeping them safe.

A few moments later, I heard the door close. I turned around to find I was alone in the room. Just me and my thoughts. I sighed and fell back onto my bed, staring at the ceiling.

Why the fuck am I in here? I'm half devil, I don't have to put up with being ignored by my mate and basically everyone except Deion. And with that thought in mind, I got up from the bed and punched the window in front of me, on the wall. The glass shattered into a million pieces, making a loud noice, but I didn't care. I've gotten out of here before and I bet I can do it again.

My breathing hitched as I looked at my knuckle, now bleeding and stinging. But I ignored it and started to climb out the window, knowing I can escape this stupid ass room.

Austins POV

I crossed out a name on the sheet of paper in front of me, sighing. There was only one name left, Elliot Gordon, Alpha of the Silver Moon pack. I sighed as I picked up the phone and dialled his number. After a second, the ringing stopped and a voice answered.
