Chapter 1: The Princess meets the Prince

Welcome to Princess of Darkness! Thank you for reading!!! This book is the sequel to my book, 'Devils Daughter'. You do not need to read that book for this one to make sense but to get a complete understanding and picture of the background of some characters, I recommend reading it. I hope you enjoy reading this book!

Ravens P.O.V

"Kill the beta." Caspian's words echoed in my head.

My name is Raven and that, other than my age, is all I know about my self. I am a trained spy and assassin, since I was only a small child I have been trained. I have no memory of my mother or father or anything since the age of three maybe. I am now 18 and on a mission... did I mention that I'm also a werewolf and devil? No oh.. well now back to the story..

He had dropped me off in the woods, just outside the territory. My mission;  kill the beta.

I noticed it was getting dark, so I looked around and  sat under the biggest tree I could see and tried to sleep. But as usual, I couldn't. I got up and decided to work on my climbing skills. I picked a tree, it was extremely tall and had no branches until about five meters up.

After about half an hour, I managed to climb to the very top, I could see the whole city from here. It was beautiful. Lights in most, if not all the houses, were shining through the windows. Cars driving on main roads. I loved how the humans lived. As I stated there, I felt the wind start to pick up and goosebumps appear on my arms and legs.

Quickly, I looked around the surrounding area, a little bit away from the bustling city and spotted the pack house, about a mile or two from here. I stood there for a moment, my black hair flowing wildly in the wind, not wanting to leave the peacefulness of being up so high, so untouchable. Although I knew I couldn't stay up here for long. I only had shorts and a tee shirt on and it was starting to snow... Yeah I don't make good choices....

As I made my way down the tall tree, I heard  a high pitch noise, a scream. Without thinking, I started bolting down the trunk of the tree and quickly ran towards the sorce of the noise.

A  young girl sat crying, leaning over a beaten up man, his face bloodied and swollen. The five rouges surroundings them we're looking at the girl and for some reason this set my wolf on edge. I jumped out and pounced on one of the rouges. I killed him in a flash, then went onto the other one, killing him as well. Then one of the rouges jumped on me, I quickly pushed him off me, receiving a few cuts.

Then another one jumped on my back, pushing me to the ground. I felt it scratch my back, I screamed out in pain. I shifted into my black wolf, I was able to throw the rouge off me, into a tree knocking him out, but before I could get to the last one, I herd gun shots, only a few meters away, one to the rouge that I knocked out and then one to me, it hit my left shoulder.

I howled, The pain was unbearable. I shifted back to human form, but when I shift, I some how end up with a pair of shorts on and a tank top on. Thank god.

I fell to my knees, I was able to stay awake because I was half devil, then they shot my shoulder again, I screamed. I was panting, unable to stay awake. My devil took over, she always does when I'm really hurt.

(When my devil takes over my ears turn pointy and I grow fangs, that look similar to a vampires. My eyes also turn red. When I turn fully into my devil, my skin goes almost white, I grow wings and a tail but I hardly ever change into her, only because sometimes.. She's uncontrollable.)

My devil manages to put a ring of fire around me to make sure no one could get to me. I fell onto my back and looked up at the cloudy sky, I breathed in the chilling air deeply and let darkness consume me.
