(Warning: Suicide, and more stuff that's not happy. I wasn't in the mood to type everything out.)
She put him out like the burnin' end of a midnight cigarette.
You looked at him from across the Glade, the green plain busy with people living the life that no one wanted. Living but not living, you could see it in his eyes. You broke him, his eyes weren't dark and sparkling, now they were dull and broken. Holding the memories of your bad history.
She broke his heart, he spent his whole life tryin' to forget
You both got into a huge fight, all you did was argue. You were slowly breaking down from it all. You would argue over the smallest things ever. It was making you mad and sad. (A/N: That rhymed.) You didn't want it to end on a really bad note. So you ended it. He just ignored you afterwards.
We watched him drink his pain away a little at a time
Thomas and Newt were always by his side. He needed the comfort that you couldn't give him, not anymore. You weren't entitled to it, and you were the reason that he was in pain like this anyways. He wasn't his old self anymore. He would just run, all he would do was run, and then go to his room. You didn't even know if he ate anything. You guess that was up to Thomas and Tommy.
But he never could get drunk enough to get her off his mind
He tried to run away from his problems, you. He wanted to run to clear his mind. The flashbacks wouldn't stop. They couldn't and wouldn't. He always made it back right before the doors closed and was ready before they were open too. He would stay away from you.
Until the night
That was until this night. He ran into you, he didn't mean too but he did. He was so much thinner than the last time you saw him. He didn't say anything but moved to get out of the area. You started to cry about it. He wasn't eating anything, Newt and Thomas couldn't force him too.
He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger
He didn't eat in the longest time, it killed him. He was running after he saw you. He didn't stop, he was working away every single thing. There wasn't anyone to stop him. He was right there in front of the West doors. He collapsed.
And finally drank away her memory
This time he had the memories of you two spending the time together during the bonfire, and the one of when you first kissed. He knew something was up when the memories stopped and all there was was a pain. He didn't stop though, he just kept running.
Life is short, but this time it was bigger
He fell to the ground, not able to run. He looked at the sky, it was weird. No memories, he couldn't get his mind off the pain. The hurt. Almost as painful as when you broke up with him. Almost as painful as the fights you would have. Almost as painful as the sight of you crying because of him.
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees
He tried and tried to get up. He needed to run, ever since you left his life. Running became his sole purpose. He was going to practice until he was to the best of his ability. He needed to get everyone out of this place. It was his job.
We found him with his face down in the pillow
Newt and Thomas found him. They ran forward. You saw them and came too. By the time they reached him, his breathing slowed down. It was barely even there. He couldn't do anything. You reached him too. You still cared.
