Reunited:
Gally had barely managed to make sure that Orla hadn't fallen over when she passed out. His eyes immediately found Thomas'. "What happened?"
The worry was evident on his face. Thomas had never seen Gally look at anyone the way he looked at Orla. While his grip was firm to keep her steady, his rough hands held her softly in a way that Thomas assumed Gally had never known. The tenderness seemed unnatural in the eyes of someone he remembered clearly as being short tempered.
"She hasn't had much time to sleep. She's been struggling with nightmares when we finally have the opportunity to sleep," Thomas answered him, finally, "It's exhaustion catching up to her. She finally hit her limit."
Thomas knew that there was probably more underlying issues. Everything had been a struggle up to that point. It was obvious, but he knew that was probably a leading factor. "She'll need food and water when she wakes up, but I would let her wake up on her own."
Gally pulled her closer to him, being rather protective over her. For the rest of the ride, Gally was careful. He made sure that she was rested in a way that would minimize how much she would feel the road's bumpiness. He also made sure that he wouldn't accidentally wake her up or anything either. His voice was quiet as he talked to the other boys, and he shushed them when he thought they were being too loud.

Orla woke up sometime later. She wasn't completely sure what happened or where she was. Her memory was slow coming back to her. Everything happened quickly over the past several days. Being exhausted only made it harder for her to keep up with everyone. One of the first things she noticed was that she was pressed against someone. It wasn't a bed or a chair. Hell, it wasn't even the floor. She was in someone's lap. She could feel their hands holding her.
With that being noted, her eyes widened as she lifted her head away from their chest. Her eyes met Gally's. "Gally?" She asked him, extremely surprised. "What? I thought-"
"Orla," Gally answered her. He waited for a long time to finally see her again. He believed that he was never going to see her again, and if he was honest, he was terrified that he would find out that she was dead at some point. It was a relief for him to know that she was alive. Sure, she wasn't in the greatest condition; none of them were. He was just happy she was alive.
Orla was in the same position as him. She believed he was dead. "I thought you were-"
"I wasn't. It's a long story. Everything is a long story, believe me."
Gally might've waited a long time to see her again, but he waited longer to be able to confess his feelings for her. "Orla, I have to tell you something." After being through what all of them have been through, Gally decided that he would no longer waste his time. He was through with it. In the Glade, it never occurred to him that their lives could end so abruptly. He never thought that everything they knew could uprooted like it was.
"Go on," Orla said, still staring at his face. Her hands were now resting on his face. She was touching his face gently, almost like she didn't believe he was actually there with her now. It was reassurance that he was real. She wasn't imagining him or hallucinating. It was not some cruel hologram either.
"I love you," Gally confessed, "I've loved you for a long time now. I know that I should have confessed when we were in the Glade. I shouldn't have danced around you like a scared boy, but I was one. I didn't know what or how a relationship worked, but I want to figure it out with you. I want us to make it through with this mission so we can be together happily. I love you so much, and I never want to lose or leave you again. Not like we that."
Orla began to smile as her hands stilled. "I want that too. I thought you were dead, and I hated that I let you get away from me. I don't know if we will make it out of there alive. I don't," she admitted. "However, in case we don't, kiss me. I don't want to risk dying without knowing what the feels like."
Gally was more than happy to oblige. He leaned forward, and their lips touched. It was short at first and rather clumsy. It was their first kiss. Well, the first kiss they could actually remember. Neither of them cared. There was soft laughter between them at the slight awkwardness.
Orla kissed him again, and they shared several kisses together. "If we do survive that and make it to the promised paradise, we're going to be doing a lot more of that." Her hand grabbed one of his. She intertwined their fingers, smiling at him.
"Trust me, you're not going to be able to lose me easily," Gally laughed. "I'll make you the happiest girl alive once we get to that paradise and can actually begin a happy life like the ones we've dreamed of before. Do you remember when we talked about-"
"Alright, stop," Thomas interrupted, "for my sake, please stop. You're being too much for me."
"Stop being bitter, you just miss Newt!"

I know this is not exactly as you requested, but I struggled a bit writing it any other way. I am doing my best to remember how it happened in the books, and I googled some to refresh or connect the dots of what I did remember. I'll be honest, I don't think this goes along with the plot or makes much sense with it. I am very sorry about that, but I hope its enough fluff for you anyway. Also, we are pretending that Newt is not dead : ). Also, I may or may not have included a little bit of Newtmas in here.
If it does not fit your standards, feel free to request a different one. I will gladly try again. You can also request another one if you like.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it!
