I placed my hands on my hips impatiently.

"Do you mind hurrying it up, I want to go." I stated to Vaughn as he was fighting another vampire.

He staked the vampire panting for air.

"Help would have been nice." He said. He then dropped to the ground yelling. He started ripping his shirt off.

"What the hell are you-" I cut myself off as I saw the tattoo starting to form from his arm and across his body. I looked at him in shock before pulling out my phone and dialing a number.

"The mark is complete."

We were all on a boat going to this island, off the coast of Nova Scotia. I sat curled upon Kat's lap, she was lightly playing with my hair.

Where we stood in the forest we could hear multiple voices which were all too familiar. We had Vaughn run off and play hunter.

I internally cringed.

I sounded like Damon.

Katherine and I kept our distance from them. The island is huge and we don't know where the tomb is. Plus there are booby traps.

We walked in silence through the forest carrying our backpacks. I stepped on something and stumbled.

I hissed in pain as several arrows penetrated my stomach and chest barely missing my heart. Katherine was quickly in front of me. She gripped onto an arrow and yanked it out. I bit my lip to stop from groaning. I felt blood trickle down my chin from biting my lips too hard.

After what felt like forever all of the arrows were out.

"Thank you." I told her. She pecked my lips.

"Are you okay?" She asked worriedly. I smiled at her as I felt my wounds heal. I grabbed her hand.

"Yes, I am okay." She lightly smirked before we began walking again.

I laid in the sleeping bag in the tent listening to the crackle of the small fire outside of the tent. Footsteps were heard before the zipper unzipped and the goddess herself stepped in zipping the tent behind her.

"Well don't you look cute." She said. I rolled my eyes as she got under the sleeping bag with me. I shifted so my head was on her chest. She wrapped her arms around me pulling me closer to her as I snuggled into her side. She gently kissed my temple.

"Get some sleep before we get started." She whispered. I lightly nodded as I drifted off to sleep.
