Knock! Knock!
I whipped my head towards the door and put my flame out. The room was now dark but that was okay.
"Blaise? Is that you?" Panicking, I stood up and made my way to the door, making sure to hide the lighter in my pocket. I grabbed the handle and opened the door to reveal Lucy and Cali standing by the door. Cali had a wide grin on her face, oblivious to what was really going on. Lucy on the other hand had a sad look on her face. Disappointment. I hate disappointing her, but I just couldn't take it today.
"Oh, sweetheart, are you alright?" Lucy reached out to grab my hand but I sighed and turned away, walking towards my bed then plopping down. I heard footsteps and I knew they were following.
"Are you okay Blaise?" I heard Cali's voice and softened my face as I turned to look at her. Oh darn, bad idea. Her eyes were the biggest I've ever seen and I couldn't help but get sucked into them. I smiled and nodded my head.
"I'm fine Cali-bear, go ahead and set up the dolls." at that she immediately jumped up and ran over to the play room across the hall.
Once she was gone, Lucy made her move. She moved closer and as she sat down I heard the old bed creek.
"So, are you really okay?" I nodded my head and I could tell she didn't really believe me. Who would though. I only went to school for like less than an hour.
"I know you know I don't believe that so just tell me what's wrong." I sighed and turned my head over to her. Her wrinkles were even more prominent as she frowned at me encouraging me to speak with her soft eyes.
"I got bullied again today."
Silence was her response and I was kinda grateful for it.
"It was the same people, oh and they gave me a surprise grand entrance this morning, paper flying everywhere, quite a sight actually. My favorite drawing got special editing and I ran out of the room like a coward." I gave a false peppy smile before slumping back onto my bed.
" Blaise honey, you need to tell the principle, it would-"
"No, don't say it'll make things better cause it won't. It's not like the principle can expel or even punish the entire school. Multiple parents would call him and the students would direct it all to me. Then it will be the parents too. I can't keep going Lucy, I just can't..."
Now the tears fell and I let them. I know I couldn't stop them. I cried into Lucy's shoulder for what felt like hours and I was surprised Cali didn't come in looking for me.
"How bout' you get some rest before lunch okay? I'll have Jake come and get you when it's ready." Lucy started to get up but I tugged on her sleeve.
"What about Cali? I told her I would play with her today."
"I'll tell her you weren't feeling well, just go ahead and sleep." She started walking again and headed down the stairs.
As I drifted off, I started to think about things I probably shouldn't. Things like running away.

"Blaise, Blaise." The voice was back again. The sweet soft voice that I thought was so familiar..
"Come here, I miss you." It was so gentle and- wait, miss me? The voice misses me?
"Blaise wake up" This was a new voice, one I didn't want to here cause I wanted to continue to be away form awake.
"Go away, I'm sleeping" I heard a chuckle, and I mentally rolled my eyes at the sound. I knew it was Jake waking me for lunch, but I'd really rather not.
" Come on it's-"
"Lunch time, I know, I'm coming" One last chuckle and I heard his retreating footsteps. I was going back to sleep when I heard them stop and come back up. Confused I sat up and glanced at the door right as Jake popped his head back in.
"Oh, and I need to talk to you after lunch." I just nodded and watched as he went back down the steps. I sighed and threw the covers off once again. I trudged over to the closet and put my worn robe on. It was soft and a little dirty, but that's just love.
I walked into the kitchen to see Lucy and a woman I didn't recognize. She had blonde curly hair, stopping right at her lower back, with a hint of gray. Her eyes were a striking deep forest green, only a shade lighter than my own. She was a tall woman with a strong build. Hanging around her neck was a delicate yet intricate looking necklace, deep red but when she moved it looked like it had orange in it, maybe even yellow. Like fire. I stopped right when I saw her and just stared. Rude I know, but I couldn't help but think I knew her. She was talking to Lucy in a hushed tone. I couldn't tell what they were saying but I had a strange feeling that it was about me.
I guessed I zoned out cause I didn't notice Lucy calling my name.
"Blaise." I jerked slightly in surprise and mumbled a quick "sorry" before heading to the dinning room. I shut the door behind me and just stood there. As soon as it shut, I felt lightheaded and stumbled as if I was about to faint. My body was shaking and just when I was about to the floor, Jake came in.
'Blaise? Are you alright?" I shook my head and it dissapeard as fast as it came. I blinked in confusion and nodded at Jake. He rushed over to me and knelt in front of me. I felt his arms wrap around me as I stared in confusion.
"Are you going to be alright? I can help you back into the bed if you'd like." I was about to answer when my stomach answered for me, making it's usual loud sound. That's probably all it was. Jake smirked and I blushed looking down.
"Let's get some food in that stomach first." I smiled weakly and let him pull me up. We walked together into the kitchen and as we past the strange woman and Lucy, I was called to a stop.
"Blaise, I would like you to say hello to Hestia, she-"
"Please, call me Tia, far better than that name" Lucy laughed and the woman, Tia, smiled. I liked her smiled, weird as it is. It was oddly comforting.
"Actually, Lucy, I was going to get her something to eat, she didn't look to good when I found her." Jake started to take me in there when we were once again stopped. Jake sighed in frustration, and I just rose my eyebrow as we turned a round.
"May I take her? I have some questions to ask her." Tia got up and started to walk towards us, Jake tightened his grip protectively, and I looked up at him surprised, all though I didn't mind. I'd rather not be in a room alone with a woman I just met.
"Jake, I actually have to talk to you about something, let Tia take Blaise into the kitchen." Lucy gave him a look when Tia wasn't looking. He hesitated before letting go of me. I was frightened. I dind't want to be alone with Tia, no matter how comforting her smile looked. I watched as Jake and Lucy went into the living room and shut the door.
"Alright let's get you something to eat then shall we?" She reached out her hand, but I quickly dodged it as if I didn't notice and walked ahead of her.
I heard a sigh before the clicks of heals as she followed me into the kitchen.
