I watched as Tia moved towards the cabinets, searching for something that I could eat. I didn't make a move towards the kitchen table, I just stood there keeping a cautious gaze on her every move. As soon as she found a box of macaroni and cheese to make she turned around and walked to the stove. Her heels made a clicking noise as they made their way across the kitchen. My eyes followed her and couldn't help but notice how she was filled with confidence from her high head to her strong yet calm steps.
"I know your probably wandering why I'm here, and I want you to try and trust me on this but I'm not here for any harm." She glanced at me and I looked down at the ground. It's not that I thought she would hurt me or anyone in the orphanage it was just that I found something in her comforting and it scared me. I didn't want to get attached to anyone because last time I did that I was left in tears and pain. I wouldn't talk to anyone for months till I told myself it was time to get it together.
"I know" I whispered, shifting my feet back and forth uncomfortably. She looked back again with a weird pain and almost hope in her eyes and I just stared at my shuffling feet, not saying another word.
"Well, is macaroni and cheese okay with you? That's all I could find" She sent me a small smile before turning to the stove and started to make it.
"Why are you here?" The question spilled out before I could think about it. I glanced at her and saw that she stopped what she was doing. She stood there frozen, taking in a deep breath before turning around to face me.
"I have much to tell you Blaise, so much that I'm actually going to have to stay here for a couple of days." I looked up at her, taking in the same expression for a third time.
"But first, I need you to at least try and trust me okay? Can you do that?" I nodded my head and yet I was still tense and moved to sit at the kitchen table. She tried to smile but it came out strained cause she knew she wasn't getting very far with me. It was silent for the rest of the time, all you could hear was the shuffling of my restless feet and the clanking of the spoon against the metal pot.
I opened my mouth to speak when the door burst open to reveal Cali holding two dolls, but she wasn't smiling like she usually is, she actually had a frown on her face.
"Blaise are you okay?" I smiled and motioned for her to come over. She ran over to my chair and climbed on to my lap. She turned to look at me with her big eyes and my smile grew.
"I'm okay Cali-bear, I was just tired that's all." She smiled and turned toward Tia, who was looking at us with amusement in her eyes.
"Who are you?" I chuckled at her blatant question, not at all surprised. Tia laughed and walked over to the table, sitting in the chair across from us.
"My name is Hestia, but you can call me Tia." Cali frowned confused and looked at me as if to ask 'is she nice? can I talk to her?' I nodded my head and she turned back with a smile on her face.
"My name is Cali!"
"Well Cali I see that you would like to take Blaise away to play am I right?" Cali nodded her head excitedly.
"But first I think you both should eat some lunch" Cali's smile grew bigger as she told Tia that she was really hungry. Tia laughed and got up to make three bowls, bringing them back to the table.
As we ate, Cali decided to tell Tia all about how I was her big sister, telling her a bunch of embarrassing stories about me. I blushed and told Cali to stop telling her the stories but she just giggled and went on. When we were finished, Tia told me we would talk later and Cali dragged me upstairs to play dolls.

The saying "Time flies when your having fun" is a true statement. I actually had fun with Cali as we played but when we were called down for dinner, I was surprised how fast the day went by. I'm sure the school will be calling Lucy to tell her about my missing school but she'll just tell them I was sick like every time, hopefully....
