Apep warder, Osiris slayer,
order in chaos, chaos in order
I am the edges of the Mandlebrot
set, the dripping tap drummer.
Does your heart skip a
beat, palpitate?Life in your desert
the desert in your life:
for who but is strongly
challenged truly thrives?Nymphaea Caerulea,
the sacred lotus, floats
on my carp pools under
the palm fronds under
the desert stars in my
city of the Oasis where
the bright beer flows.
Carouse; kick out demons;
bear away the heart.Or, two days journey
through demon wastes,
festival to my Nile jetties,
by mud-brick, oxen-breath,
net-mending villages,
where my hippos snort
and spar, yawn and roll
among the lotus flowers,
my fishermen gathering
the scaly catch for our city.I see your boat down river.
We must part. You going back
to the infernal coast where
my name is spat into mud.Take this wand which
bears my likeness.
Please keep it always.
