Accidental Roommates

Chapter eight: January

It's a week until classes start again, I've already unpacked and Maya is so hyped to be rooming with me. As for Luke, well we haven't spoke since that night, he has a huge black eye and doesn't really come out of his room much.

Now for the topic you've been waiting to hear about; Ashton.
We've been inseparable since the kiss. I still hadn't fully forgave him for what he did so he decided to take me camping as an I'm sorry gift.

Now would be a good time to mention I've never been camping before...

"Are we there yet?" I mumbled between pants. Ashton chuckled at how unfit I am.

"You're meant to be a dancer how are you struggling with this?" He stopped walking and waited for me to catch up.

"You didn't answer my question" I caught up and rested against a tree to catch my breath.

"It's not far now. Come on." He began walking again.

Like I've said before, this boy is trying to kill me.

After what felt like forever we arrived at this cute spot by the lake, there were logs on their sides in a circle and a slab of stone with burn marks on it from the fire.

Ashton dropped the bags and got the tent out. "A little help here!"

I went over and helped by connecting all the poles.

"Babe that's not where that one goes." He laughed and reached over me to put the pole in the right place, I could feel the heat from his body against my back.

It took a solid 40 minutes to build the tent successfully, after that Ashton let me have a break while he went to find firewood.

I was alone.

The tent needed the blankets and other things putting in it so I decided to do that, I dropped Ashtons bag while bringing it towards the tent and his phone fell out.

"Well well well Mr Irwin you really should learn to hide things better." I sat on a log and began typing his password in.

I wonder what kind of juicy things I may find displayed in his phone.

A girl called Caitlin had messaged him earlier. I was about to open the messages when...

"I hope you found what you was looking for." I jumped causing me to drop his phone, luckily it didn't break. He put the wood down and took his phone.

"Ashton I'm sorry I was only looking, I mean it fell out your bag and was just staring at me-"

"Babe relax okay? Come on let's go for a dip" he put his phone in his bag and ran towards the lake while taking off his shirt. God damn his abs were so perfect. It was like a cobblestone path!

It kind of reminded me of the day we fell in the lake back at the university.

*play the music*

"Oh f-fuck" I squealed as my skin met the water. I was in only my underwear and could tell Ashton was checking me out.

"Don't be such a baby" he splashed some water at me causing the biggest goosebumps ever to appear all over me. I splashed him back as I moved a little deeper in the water.

We continued like this for a while but the cold eventually got the better of me and I gave up.

"Is someone cold?" Ashton asked with a smirk on his face. I didn't say a word I just nodded. He moved closer to me and held me in his arms. I looked at him with my arms round his neck. He leaned in and kissed me, I know it didn't but the kiss made me feel warmer.
