I was searching across the river but couldn't seem to find anything. Then i stumbled not so gracefully upon a lake i fell in. I looked around it was large and i could barely see the end, i called the others over and when they saw it they were stunned.

"How did you find this?" Asked Thunder.

"I well... kind a... you know... fell in." I said blushing.

They all burst out laughing i turned my head away trying to hide my blush, then thunder got serious. "I want every one to search around the lake if we find a safe place we can call it home."

I started sniffing and poking my head in bushes but none of them were right. I looked around every one was doing the same thing except for Runt. She was sniffing around some bramble bushes, i walked over and asked "what do you smell?" She looked at me then said "nothing." She stepped into the bush then disappeared. I poked my head in to hear growling, i stepped in and fell down a hole. I yelped when i hit the ground. I saw Runt standing in front of two dogs, a blue grey female and a large black male with a white under belly. They were growling as if they were protecting something, that's when i saw it two small shapes cowering behind them one grey and white and the other a dusty brown. I padded up slowly and nodded my head to them they calmed down at the gesture. "Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Mist." Said the blue grey dag know as Mist. "And i'm Scorch." The dusty brown pup padded up. "Who are they mummy?" Misty answered "I don't know Robin."

"I'm Lightning and this is Runt." I answered.

"Hi I'm Robin and this is my brother Ember!" Robin said excitedly. She bounced around my feet and i stared to laugh.

"Would you like to join our pack?" I asked.

Mist and Scorch started whisper to each other wall Robin looked like she was going to jump out of her fur. They seemed nice and protective, they also had pups who would grow into great fighters and hunters.

"We will join." Said Scorch. Robin yelped with joy but Ember stayed quiet. I then heard a dog growl from above us and it didn't sound familiar.
