"The pirate had a child?!" Regina exclaimed. Another woman appeared to be very angry, "Why would he lie to my daughter?" She said, face flushed red. "Wait, am I missing something?" Lucas interrupted, "Emma is your daughter?" The woman looked up at him. "Yes... Long story," she said with a sigh, "Snow White, but you can call me Mary Margaret. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." "And I'm Emma's father, David." A handsome man added. There was an awkward silence. "What are we going to tell Emma?" Regina asked quietly. A man next to her was holding a baby, wrapped in a pink blanket. He shifted the child from his arms to hers, handing the small girl to Regina. The woman looked down at the infant and for a brief moment, and smiled.

"Yeah. What are we gonna tell mom? 'Oh yeah, by the way, your dead pirate boyfriend had a daughter he didn't know about 14 years ago? And she happened to grow up in the real world, where she still believes Captain Hook to be the mustache-twirling villain from the Disney movie Peter Pan?' Yeah, I don't think that's gonna work." Henry said.

Lucas and Zay were inside Grannies talking about the new change of events, while Maya and Riley sat on the concrete steps in silence. Together, they had lugged Farkle to a bench, so he didn't have to lay on the ground.

"So everything I've even known," Maya said quietly, breaking the silence, "is wrong?" She asked. Riley couldn't help but notice that her usually strong friend was trembling. From fear? Sadness? She couldn't tell. All she knew was that Maya Hart, her sister who was tough as nails, was shaking.

"And the worst part of it is," She continued, pushing a golden lock of hair behind her ear, "if this is all real, and Captain Hook," she shook her head in disbelief, "is truly my dad, I never even got to know him. Henry told me that he died a couple of hours ago. That's why Emma was crying." Riley didn't know how to handle this. Usually she was great at helping people who were emotional, but Maya? She didn't have enough practice, and she doubted she ever would. She let down her walls so rarely, and Riley always tried to be there for her sister when she needed it. She didn't know what to say, so instead she wrapped an arm around her friend. Maya instinctively put her head on the brunettes shoulder.

"What do I do Riles?" Maya whispered. "I don't know peaches. Let's just see where life leads us." Riley responded quietly.

Meanwhile, inside the diner, Regina adjusted the baby and held her between her arm and her hip. With her other hand, she reached and pulled out her phone, dialed a number and waited. The infant started to cry. "Robin?" Regina said desperately, "A little help?" The man standing next to her quickly grabbed the child and stroked her until she calmed down. "Yeah... Emma," Regina said into the phone, "... Oh. You just got home? Yeah, we need you to come back to the diner right away." The woman chewed her lip nervously. "Something came up." She said. She listened for a bit, then hung up.

"What did she say?" David asked quickly. "She's coming," Regina said. "So what are we going to tell her?" Mary Margret asked. "I can be straight up with her. You know, rip the bandaid off," Henry offered, "She doesn't like it when people sugarcoat things."

The door of the diner opened, Riley and Maya walked in, and sat down in a booth parallel to each other. They were both very quiet. "I'm gonna go watch Farkle..." Zay said awkwardly as he shuffled out of the diner.

"So let me get this straight," Maya said, eyes never wavering from their spot on the table. She refused to make any eye contact. "My father that I've known my whole life is not actually my father at all. My actual father is the notorious, mustache-twirling, perm-sporting, Captain Hook. The pirate who had a crocodile lusting after the taste of him while a little pixie gremlin boy thing flies around his head taunting him."

"God, she's so much like Emma..." David muttered under his breath. "Mhm," Regina agreed.

"That's not what Hook looked like," Henry said, as he removed his phone from his pocket and pulled up a picture of his father-figure, "He looked like this."

Maya took the phone from his hands and she, Riley, and Lucas inspected it closely.

Lucas stiffened next to her when he saw the picture. "What? Are you okay?" Maya whispered so it was only audible to him. "Yeah, I just got some déjà vu." Maya stared at him for moment. "Alright..." She said, eyes never leaving his face. "Wow, Maya. Your dad was hot," Riley said under her breath. "Yeah," Lucas piped up, "I see where you get your good looks." Maya playfully shoved him, to which Lucas chuckled and said, "I'm serious!"

Maya giggled, but then she stopped when she saw his breathtakingly blue eyes.

Her hands drifted up to her cheeks, right under her eyes, thinking about her own deep blue color.

"So that's him," she said quietly, then handed the phone back to Henry. Just as she did, Emma walked back into the diner.

"Why am I back here?" She asked, "What's wrong?"

"Emma, this is Maya," David said carefully, "She's Killian's daughter."

It was dead quiet for a solid minute before Emma spoke.

"If Killian had a child, he would have told me." She said, teeth gritted.

"He didn't know she existed," Lucas defended, " and Maya herself didn't know until half an hour ago."

Emma slowly walked towards Maya, like how one would approach a small animal, careful not to frighten her. She gently let her hands come up to Maya's face, tipping her chin up slightly. Throughout all of this, Maya was extremely uncomfortable, needless to say. From what she gathered, this was her fathers girlfriend, "True Love", if you will. The girl finally caved when she saw the love Emma held in her eyes for her father. Emma could see small fractions of Killian shine through his daughter, and she brought Maya close and hugged her. Henry placed a hand on Maya's back. "Welcome to the family, blondie."
