Maya, Riley, Lucas, Farkle, and Zay all shared a 2 bed room in Grannies. Maya was draped across the sleeping Riley, snoring heavily in their bed. Lucas, Farkle, and Zay were all just a tangle of limbs, with no regards whatsoever for each others personal space. Suddenly, there was violent pounding on the door, making Riley jump, waking Maya who said, quite loudly, "Hey, what's the big idea?" This woke the boys who all startled awake quickly, bumping heads. Groans filled the room, coming from the boys and Maya. Riley rolled her eyes and got out of bed to answer the door.
"Henry!" Riley said, blushing. Henry's face of urgency melted slightly as he looked past Riley's shoulder to see the scene of utter chaos behind her. Farkle was yelling at Zay, "Give me my boxers back, Zay! This is not a joke!" Farkle screamed as he chased Zay around, Zay holding a pair of red boxers and laughing hysterically. Maya moved to sit next to Lucas on the boys's bed. "Do boys sleep with their underpants on?" She murmured to him. "Well, Farkle clearly doesn't." Lucas laughed and Maya joined him.
Riley and Henry watched all of them for a second, and then Riley turned to face Henry again.
"I'm so sorry you had to see this." She said stifling a laugh. "Nah, I've seen crazier. Anyway, could I talk to my kind-of-sister?" He said quickly. "Maya!" Riley called over her shoulder. Maya's laughter stopped instantly, "What?" She said quickly. "Henry's here," Riley called. "Tell her it's an emergency." Henry pressed. "It's an emergency." Riley echoed.
Maya stood and Lucas grabbed her wrist. Her breath quickly left her lungs as she turned to face him, meeting his handsome green eyes. "Hey," he said with a small smile, "You'll be okay. You're always okay. And maybe after this is all over and done with, we can grab a bite to eat at the diner." She returned his smile, gladly taking a bit of the comfort he was offering her.
"What is its Henry?" She questioned. "Okay. So you know how your father sacrificed himself?" Henry's mouth was going a mile a minute as Maya nodded, "Well it's turns out his sacrifice was for nothing, so my mom wants to get him back. Emma, obviously, not Regina. We're going to the underworld."
"Can we go?" Zay said, overhearing their conversation. Farkle took this brief moment of distraction to quickly snatch his boxers from Zay and smack him upside the head.
Henry chucked. "Sure, you guys can come," He looked to Riley, "but only if I can sit next to this one here on the way there."
Maya ignored how flirtatious that was and said, "You're acting like a bus takes us there or something. How exactly does one get to the underworld?"
"On the River Styx, duh." Riley answered matter-o-factly. "You just need payment." Everyone looked at her strangely. "What? I had a thing for Greek myths when I was younger."
Everyone was silent for a moment.
"Oh come on. It's Riley, for god's sake. We've seen much weirder from her," Lucas called from his spot on the bed as Riley laughed.
Lucas stood and walked to the doorframe where Maya, Riley, and Henry stood. "Can I please speak to Henry for a moment?"
Henry looked to Riley and Maya. "Excuse us," he said politely.
He and Lucas left the room, walked down the hall and rounded the corner. "What's up man?" Henry asked.
"I know Killian."
