Lies

Nate's POV

"What is going on with her?" I ask Dillon.

"With who?" He questions.

"Jaylyn. She's never available after school or on the weekends. She isn't at lunch at all. It's like she's avoiding us." I tell him.

"I don't think it's us. She talks to Johnson everyday." Dillon says and takes a bite of his sandwich.

"She talks to Johnson?" I repeat what he just told me. He just nods and keeps eating. That made me instantly angry. I pick up my phone and text Johnson.

To Johnson: why are you and Jaylyn keeping secrets?

I put my phone down and the bell rings. It's time for lunch. Even though Dillon and I were already in there I get up to find her. I need to know what's going on.

While I was walking to her class I see so many people watching me. I ignore them until I see her. She was carrying her books and looking around as if she was expecting someone. "Jaylyn." I say and walk over to her.

"Nate? Oh hey." She says surprised.

"What's going on? Are you okay?" I ask her. "Are you in any trouble?"

"A lot has been happening this week. I just needed some time to myself." She tells me.

"I understand that, but we can help you." I tell her. That's when I grab one of her hands and look at it. It was so beautiful. She was beautiful, every part of her.

"I have to go Ca-Nate. I'll see you later." She says and runs down the hall towards the front of the school. Did she almost say another guy's name? What is she hiding?

I quietly run after her to see what was up. She was standing in the lobby alone holding her things and looking around as if she was searching for someone.

Then a boy cones up and places a hand on her back. I have no idea who it is but I'm about to find out. I grab a pencil out from my pocket. When I was about to throw it but the boy looks around and reveals his face to me. That's when I notice it's Cameron.

What the hell was she doing with Cameron? Were they still together? Was she playing me so she could find out things from our crew to take us down? I needed to find out answers.

They both walk out the door in a hurry and I see neither of them after that.

I make my way back to the lunchroom and see everyone there.

"Nate what's up?" Violet asks.

"Jaylyn. She's been tricking us this whole time." I say.

"What?" G asks.

"Yea. She just walked out of the school with Cameron." I say his name full of hate and disgust. That's when I realize she almost called me Cameron in the hallway.

"What? Why was she with Cameron?" Nash asks.

"I don't know. But I'm going to find out." I say thinking about how we will go about this.

Jaylyn's POV

"Cam stop!" I squeal as he tickles my sides.

"Not until you say it." He says.

"Fine! Sei un cretino." I say to him. He smiles and releases me. I laugh to myself as he doesn't realize I called him a dork.

"Thank you. Now what's the plan?" He asks me.

"If your friend can get into the server room and plug in this USB I can control all of the cameras, all cellphones, and all clocks." I tell him.

"So you can control everything." He says.
