Millie's pov
"Where the hell are my damn shoes?!" I angrily yell. Niall stares at me as he's eating a day-old popcorn.
He shrugs and motions me to get some. I shake my head, putting my hands on my hips. Soon mum and dad come rushing in. Dad has a bucket of chicken and a flower between his fingers. He also motions me to get some.
"Sure." I reach over but my mum slaps my hand away.
She stares at me, "You are not ruining that dress."
"Do you know where my shoes are? I really need to know, Mr. Principal asked me to be there an hour ago. But I need shoes." I stare down at my feet.
"An hour ago?!" Mum exclaims. I hum in response as I continue to look for my shoes.
"My mum just texted me, she said to hurry up. It's getting packed, she saved you two seats." Niall takes a chicken out of my dads bucket.
The two made up after I convinced dad that Niall was acting out a role from schools play. He was dumb enough to actually believe it, Niall not my dad.
"You mum is going to get mad if you ruin the suit," Mum tells Niall then she glares at my dad, "You too."
He stomps his foot, "My mum isn't even here."
"You two, the car. I'll stay behind to help Millie." Mum tells them. They get up from the couch, groaning as they leave my room.
Mum starts shuffling through my room. It gets really quiet as we both start looking for my glutes. Usually I'd just walk out with some flats but she really wants me to look perfect. I am gonna stand in front I've thousands of people to read my speech.
Man.
Graduation
Is
Hard.
"Found em." Mum lifts a pair of heels. The only thing that was wrong was seeing the piece of cheese on them. I threw that cheese, she doesn't need to know that.
"I guess we can't use them." She gets disgusted. I nod in approval, she still doesn't need to know that.
"Y'know I could go barefoot?" I suggest.
"No!" She yells. I roll my eyes and walk over to my closet pulling out some flats.
"These will do good yeah?" I raise them in the air.
"I'll wait for you in the car." She glares at the flats as she leaves me room.
"Perfect."
********
"We'll be fine." I reassure Niall. I grab his shoulders and shake him.
"Bro, my senior letter is going to be read to the entire 12th graders! Including parents and a lot of people I don't know. The worst part is that I said a lot of shit in there." I roll my eyes. "If you fall, I'll fall with you."
"Really?" He stares at me.
I scoff, "In your dreams lover boy. This is also my day and I'm not gonna ruin it."
