"Girl Mrs. Rowe tripping with all this homework. She doing entirely too much!" Aniya said.
"Girl you ain't never lied, ain't nobody got time for all that. Anyways you ready for Homecoming this weekend?" Fayth says trying to switch the subject to something more entertaining.
"Yeah I'm ready, all I gotta do is get my shoes, hair, and nails done." Aniya replied
"Cool, Friday we should go get our nails and stuff done together." I said
It was my senoir year of High School and life was good at the moment. I had all my girls, but Aniya that's my main one. Aniya and I have been friends since we were basically in diapers. We grew apart for a little while, when she went to a different middle school and made some new friends. But now we in high school and it's as if nothing ever changed. However, there is four of us now you will not see one without the other.
There's me Fayth; the good girl, the nerd, and the one who is forever single or between relationships. Then there is Aniya; the goofy one, the loud mouth, and the one who will have you on the floor laughing. There is Kalia; the neutral one, the all about her boyfriend, and the peacemaker. Lastly, there is Soraya; the fast one, the one with relationship problems for days, and the sensitive one.
"Heyyy y'all!" Soraya said while her and Kalia walks up to me and Aniya.
"What's up girl" I said
"What y'all over here talking about?" Kalia asked curiously
"Homecoming. Are y'all ready to turn up this weekend?" Aniya asked
"Man... I don't even want to go anymore. Me and Keem were suppose to go and now this damn fool talking about some he don't want to go because it's going to be wack. I honestly think he just doesn't want to go with me." Soraya said.
"Girl I don't even see why you even mess with him! He don't never want to go nowhere with you. But whatever if that's what you want! But you shouldn't let that keep your from having fun with your girls." I said while rolling my eyes. Soraya go through the same thing with this no good fool all the time. I really wish she would realize she deserve so much better than what she settling for. I refuse to keep reiterating that to her though; because it just goes in one ear and out the other. Plus we're young hopefully she will learn.
"I know but I love him. Don't worry I'm going to come to the Homecoming dance because I already bought my dress." Soraya said
"Well Fayth, I think I'm going to just ride with you to the dance, cuz you already know I don't have no date." Aniya said changing the subject from Soraya's love struggles.
Kalia cuts in and says "I'm riding with y'all because I ain't got no date either!"
"I guess it's a date then, heyyy!" I said, excited that I got my girls to roll with so I never have to worry about rolling into the dance or the game solo.
"TURRRRRN UUUUP!" Aniya yelled loud as ever, she so silly sometimes.
Don't get me wrong I love my girls to death, but there is some things I refuse to tell them. For one Soraya and Aniya can't hold water! For two sometimes I feel as if Kalia does not really care about what anyone else has going on as long as everything is cool on her part. What my girls do not know, is that Mrs. Fayth does have a boo! We just have not went public yet, because we do not want everybody all in our business. Me and Terek have been a thing for about three years now and I sure love me some him. I guess I should be honest with myself it is not really me who does not want to go public, it's Terek. He says it is because if he were to put it out there that I was his girl, the guys and chicks from his school would purposely try their best to tear us apart. I suppose that is a sufficient reason to be on the low... I also don't want to tell my girls about my relationship because I like to feel like the one who has it together, plus they are always coming to me for advice about their relationships and how would it sound, if they found out that my predicament is not quite ideal either.
"Girl who you over there texting that got you smiling extra hard?" Aniya's nosey self asked. She stay all up in my business.
"Dannng do you ever mind your own? But anyways I'm just texting this dude, nothing serious." I tried to say convincingly.
"I swear you get on my nerves! We always tell you all our business but you do not ever want to tell us the tea about your love life. I swear I ain't telling you nothing else." Aniya said with a total attitude.
"First of all it is not my fault that y'all like to spill all y'all business to me. Two I do not care if you don't tell me nothing else because I never ask, so you can just be mad." I said with my smart mouth.
"You ain't gotta get smart!" Aniya yelled
"Whatever Trick" I said attempting to lighten the mood
"Yeah whatever." Aniya said while walking off.
We fight like this all the time, she will get over it. But I swear I cannot stand that about them! I'm a private person and I really do not like sharing everything that is going on with me. That is just me period. I can't lie I do kind of feel guilty that I don't share with my girls but I just really don't want to hear anyone's judgements or opinions.
