Finally Out

    It had been a long, boring week in the hospital but today was different. Today was full of excitement and activity! Sam was helping Austin pack their few things so they could return to their homes. They had been released from the hospital just recently and couldn't wait to finally have something to do! Sam helped Austin down to the lobby as best she could. At first the casts were nothing but a nuisance and a hardship on them both, but they soon got used to them and learned the best ways to move with them. Austin's mom had come to pick them up since Sam's was out of town on business. She seemed to gone a lot, but Sam didn't care. She had all she needed with Austin and his mom.

"I can't wait to be home!" Sam said enthusiastically, bouncing on the seat next to Austin. He put his hand in her shoulder to calm her down. "Chill," he said, laughing softly. Sam sat back, staring out the window.

When they finally arrived at Austin's, Sam jumped out the car, helped Austin out, and ran inside. She helped him unpack and called her friend, Nicole, over. Austin didn't seem too enthusiastic about the idea of Nicole around, but he pretended like he was happy while she was there. After staying what seemed like hours, Nicole finally left, and Sam and Austin laid on the couch together. They both were exhausted by the amount of action they had just endured. Sam flipped on the TV, put it on a random channel, and set the remote down, closing her eyes. Austin had already passed out by this time and now it was her turn. She turned her phone on silent and cuddled closer to Austin; falling asleep.
