When I got home, I decided to sleep some more but when I woke up, we head out to go dress hunting. "So did you guys kiss?" She asked. I rolled my eyes while smiling. "No. Like I said, it's only been a few days. What color dress should I wear?" I asked her while browsing through the store. It was a fancy store with a French name I couldn't even pronounce.

"Since my job is for journalism in a fashion magazine I suppose I should know. Ooh!! How about this one! You can reveal your sexy side to him!" She said devilishly. The dress was just mainly straps and had tons of cleavage.

".....Uh no thanks! I want to look beautiful. Not sexy."
"Oh okay. I always knew you were a modest girl."

Eventually, we chose a lovely navy-blue dress. It had no straps and had a little black belt on the waist with a bow on it in the middle. I was in love with it. This was like wedding dress hunting, it was friggin intense. "So are you saying yes to the dress?" Ally asked, referencing a bridal show on TLC. I giggled. "Yes!!" I squealed.

We hugged while squealing with excitement. Little did we know, everyone in the store was staring at us like we were from another planet. The both of us looked back at each other, trying not to laugh. Soon, we paid and left. I couldn't believe that the dinner was tomorrow. It really scared me.

Sometimes the words of my dad would creep back into my head.

"No one will ever love you."

I tried to ignore it but it was so hard. Was this even safe to go on a date with him if I'm leaving in a month? I didn't want to give him false hope. Heck I didn't want to give MYSELF false hope.

Friday

I woke up that day actually eager to get work over with just to speed time up. Leo and I had been texting like crazy all last night. We even snap-chatted each other! Ally of course was a photo-bombing weirdo. That woman can make the craziest faces I swear. Anyway, I put on a black and white striped t-shirt, with a dark blue cardigan to go over. Plus I was wearing some dark jeans and converse of course.

"Ally, you'll have the place to yourself for a while tonight. Please don't have a huge fashionista party." I begged her as I head out with my purse. Since it was early, she was still asleep. "Sure whatever!!" She said tiredly. I smiled and head to the cafe. Leo was already there on his tablet. Eagerly, I plopped myself right beside him and starting drinking my coffee I ordered.

    "Selena, you are a coffee-fanatic."
"What can I say? I have an addiction!"

We relaxed with each other, finding good places to reserve a table for us at. I glanced out the window noticing some storm clouds rolling in. Oh well, maybe they'd pass. Soon I had to leave so Leo drove me to work. I sat the whole day in anticipation. All I wanted to do was see Leo. As soon as I could, I left and went home to get ready.

I put on the dress, curled my long red-brown hair. Then I put on some prettier make up and put on flats. Heels are the equivalent to torture so I try to avoid those the best I can. Leo said he was going to pick me up. "DARLING!!! You look dazzling!!!!" Ally obsessed. "Ugh!!! I'm so jealous of you!!" She hugged me.

Suddenly someone knocked on the door. It was Leo. I was so excited I ran  over to the door and opened it. He had wide eyes when he saw me. "W-Wow. Uh, Selena. Wow. I-I uh.... Hehe. Hi." Leo said shyly. I blushed. Ally popped up to us. "You guys have fun!! Hurry your tooshies because the storm is a-coming!" She said.

Leo and I hopped in the car. The rain hadn't started pouring yet. We got to the restaurant, both hungry and excited about this. "Hello Mr. DiCaprio!! Let me check your reservations really quick." The man at the front said cheerfully. Once he checked, a disappointed look appeared on his face. "Sir it seems as if... Your reservations are not in the system."

Leo and I glanced at each other nervously. "That's weird because it should definitely be there." He already seemed irritated. The man shook his head. "Well then can I at least just get any table?" Leo asked.

"This restaurant is for reservations only. All the other tables are full." He said nervously. Leo rolled his eyes and grabbed my hand. He walked us out of there. The rain was now pouring down so he wrapped me in his jacket. "Sorry about that!!" He shouted over the rain as he dug through his pocket for his keys.

    "It's fine!"

He froze. "Shit!!" He wiped the car window and looked inside. "I left the keys in the car and it's locked!!" He yelled. I held Leo's jacket tighter over me as the rain got harder and it got colder. We rushed into a hotel that was right next to the restaurant just to get out of the rain. We were drenched and dress was ruined.

California almost never storms!! Why did it have to storm on our night? Thunder rumbled like crazy outside. Leo didn't want to call a locksmith since it storming pretty bad. It looked like we were stuck at the hotel for the night. He got a room with two beds and ordered room service. We took turns showering and had no choice but to throw on a robe that was provided by the hotel. Also we laid out our clothes to dry.

"This has been... A unique date."
    "So it's a date?"
"Well yeah." I said with a smile.

The both of us pigged out on pizza, chicken strips, fries, and ice cream while watching some cheesy soap opera on T.V. "I can't believe I left the keys in the car like that. I ruined the whole night. I'm such an idiot." He face-palmed himself. Jokingly, I threw a fry at him. "No you're not an idiot. In fact, I think this is way better than going to a restaurant." I said with a smile.

Before we knew it, it was like 2 AM. We turned out the lights and got in our beds. I was fast asleep in my bed.

"Please stop!!" I cried to my Dad as he pushed me with force onto the floor. As I laid on the cold floor, I awaited the final kick. It was going to hurt. "Don't tell me what to fucking do!" He yelled. Within the blink of an eye, he kicked me right in the stomach.

I woke up gasping for air. It was weird because I actually felt pain in my stomach due to how real the dream felt. God, I was terrified. My face had tears streaming down it like a river. I looked over at Leo in his bed who was peacefully sleeping. Why did I feel the need to be... Close to him? To be WITH him right there in that bed. We've known each other for five days and I was feeling these weird things I've never experienced before.

I quietly got out of my bed and tip-toed over to his bed. As slow as possible I got into his bed. Just before I was completely in, he woke up. "Selena? What's wrong?" He asked. I wiped my tears and backed up off his bed. "Another nightmare?" Leo asked softly. I looked down and nodded my head.

He smiled and pulled up the covers for me to get in. I eagerly got in and laid down beside him. He was so warm and cozy I couldn't help but snuggled up close to him. "Goodnight, Leo." I whispered tiredly. Suddenly, he ran his hand up and down my arm slowly. If my fuzzy sleeve wasn't there to block his hand from touching my skin, I probably would've squealed.

He continued doing that until I fell back to sleep.
