Chapter 10: Again
Selena's POV
I hurriedly walked out of the mini-coffee shop to make sure I didn't miss my flight call. At first I thought my eyes were playing some sort of trick on me, but I swore I saw Leo and Ally. Ally's platinum blonde hair was impossible to miss. I only saw them from behind. Slowly, I approached them, the closer I got the more I tried to listen to their conversation to hear their voices and see if it was really them.
Sure enough, it was. "Leo? Ally?" I squeaked. The both of them turned around with wide eyes. I was probably about a good 8 feet away from them. As soon as I saw Leo's face, it seemed like all of my stress from the past few days had vanished. Despite what I found out about him, I still love him.
Impulsively, I ran over to him. "Leo!!" I shouted happily. I practically tackled him with a big bear hug but luckily he caught me. My legs were around his waist and he was holding me tightly as we hugged for what seemed like an amazing eternity. I didn't care if people stared at us weirdly. With him still holding me, I looked into his eyes. He kissed me passionately for a few seconds and gently stood me back on the ground.
Even then we still hugged. "I love you so much, Selena. I'm sorry you had to find out all that stuff. Truth is I didn't want any part of it. I went to the cafe to at least check you out but I would never think of doing anything as cruel as that to anyone. I promise.... Are you really leaving though?" He asked.
I looked back at the line that was already loading into the plane. All the money I spent on movers, and how my things were probably already in New York by now, it'd be a pain to get that all back to Cali. But what's a little stress compared to being with the ones I love? "You know what? I can't leave." I said with a smile.
We kissed one more time. 'I'm officially his.' I thought.
Ally cleared her throat a little too loudly and dramatically to catch our attention. "The life of a third wheel sure does suck." She laughed.
"Oh come on, you're my best friend. You're not a third wheel." I corrected her. I hugged her too and we all went back to L.A. Ally stuck around for a few hours but eventually did have to go back to Arcata since she had work. Leo and me went to an IHOP to eat some breakfast since it was still morning. "God knows how long it's going to take for my stuff to get here. I don't know what I'm gonna do." I rested my face in my palms.
"Relax. I'll help with all that. Until then, would you wanna maybe stay at my place?" Leo asked. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Imagining me staying with Leo for a little while was sweet. "Of course!! I would love that!!!" After I realized I sounded way too excited, I corrected myself. "Uh... I mean totally. Yeah that'd be cool!" I blushed.
Things were getting good. California definitely has been great to me. When we got to Leo's place, I was worn out and just wanted some sleep. So, I got some pajamas out of my bag, put them on, and hopped into Leo's bed. That thing is a friggin cloud. He wasn't going to sleep but he was going to take care of all the moving stuff for me on the laptop in bed. I snuggled up against his warm body under the covers.
It had just started raining outside which let me drift off to sleep. "I love you." I said quietly before I shut my eyes. Leo took one hand off the laptop and caressed my cheek. "I love you too, princess." He said softly. My dad wrong. Somebody loves me. That person is Leo.
