Damian and I arrived at the airport. He got my luggage out and walked me to the check-in counter to verify my ticket.
"I knew she'd be late." I murmured.
"Oh, don't worry. She'd never miss this for the world." Damian reassured me.
"Yeah. But you'd miss it for anything." I scowled.
He raised his eyebrows. "No, I'm skipping this to work and earn a gracious amount of money." he turned away from me and whispered to himself. "And to shock you with the biggest surprise of your life..." he smiled impishly afterward.
"Hmm? What was that?" I questioned.
He shuderred. "Huh? Oh, nothing. Where the heck is Alliyah?" His voice suddenly became loud and tense that some people's heads turned.
"I'm right here!" Alliyah replied as she entered the airport, waving her hand. She had the most eye-catching outfit on-- she looked burried in them! Her thick jacket was a light violet and her scarf pink, her pants were... well, yellow. And her hair was a complete and total mess under her snow cap.
"What the heck happened to you?" Damian uttered incredulously.
"I hate you. Can't you at least appreciate the fact that I still managed to put something on?" she replied while composing herself.
"You mean to tell us you planned to come to the airport naked?" I let out a choked laugh as the spectators were bemused with us. Alliyah had caught the attention of just about everyone in the airport.
"Not exactly. But maybe I would forget to put clothes on or something." she shrugged.
"Let me guess. You just did your packing today?" I interrogated.
"Yes." she squeeked guiltily.
"I knew it. And what the hell are you wearing? Girlie, you ain't no barbie doll who can just wear mismatched outfits. Don't tell me you were experimenting or something." I exasperatedly said. This was Alliyah being Alliyah. Imagine, I had to put up with this everyday during college! I still can't believe I survived those years. Of course, only two years. I was a college drop-out.
Damian was eyeing her luggage, staring wide-eyed at the yellow-and-pink striped bra caught by the wheels of her bag.
I gasped. Alliyah gasped. Everybody gasped. They all snickered.
She hurriedly scooped up the bra and put it in her bag.
"Was I dragging that thing all along?" she asked a bit too loudly.
"Looks like it." Damian stated with a nod.
"Gah! I can't believe you didn't notice!" I let out a guffaw.
"Crap." she said as the contents of her bag bursted out when she unzipped it. "Why does this happen to me?" she asked the heavens.
Then a hot guy who just happened to walk by noticed her.
"Need some help there?" he kneeled down beside her and gathered Alliyah's things up.
"Um... uhh... yes... thanks." Alliyah gave a stammered reply as she gazed into the stranger's eyes.
What a thoughtful guy. I would've never been able to go near Alliyah if she was just a stranger wearing that ludicrous outfit. I would have thought she was insane. Which she really is, let me state the fact.
After they picked everything up, all that's left was a red bikini bottom that the man had held first before Alliyah's hands had quickly snatched them away that the man had hardly noticed what he'd touched.
