Chapter 3

Dylan opened the door to the room across from ours. The guys were huddled together, two blonde haired heads, one brown, and red haired. But where was the other brown haired guy, I think Ryland was his name. Dylan made a sound attempting to attract the guys attention but they seemed to be in their own world. So I did the next most obvious thing to do, I walked over there and broke up their huddle. 

"Why did you scream?" I asked bluntly wanting to get to the point. 

"How did you know it was us?" Jacques sighed.

"Because your room is right across from ours." 

"Well its because ummmm Ryland disappeared." Max admitted as his eyes darted around. 

"What do you mean Ryland disappeared!" Dylan demanded as she poked Max in the chest. 

"Well he was here one moment then gone the next. But he didn't even use any doors to leave." Max clarified badly.

"You know what I think you guys are just over reacting. Ryland will be back soon. Anyway Zoey whats the time?" Ellie declared as she pointed to my watch. I looked down at my blinking neon watch on my wrist. 

"Oh crap we should get ready for dinner. Bye boys." I waved at them then walked straight out the door.

"See you guys later." Ellie added as she left the room. Dylan stuck out her tongue immaturely at the guys as she shut the door. We then opened the door to our room and looked at each other trying to make sense of what just happened. I glanced at my watch again, it blinked 5:45 pm and my eyes opened wide.

"Guys we have like 10 minutes to get ready for our first dinner." I squealed at the other girls as we scrambled to get ready. There was a pair of jeans and a floral sleeveless top lying on my bed so I grab that put it on and look at the full length mirror in the room. A sudden breeze sends shivers down my body so I grab a jacket from my suitcase and wrap it around me. Dylan has on a shorts and a hot pink crop top and her blond hair cascading down her head. I grab my hair and shove it into a braid since my watch is vibrating to tell me to leave. By the time I finish Dylan and Ellie are already waiting for me at the door. I opened the door then ran out knowing they would be following me down the stairs. My braid bounces on my neck and my mouth turned into a smile from excitement. As we near the entrance of the dinning room my heart speed up and I take a deep breath in as we enter. Most of the people are just talking, when we walk in the room breaks into silence.

"Your late." Declared a cold voice from behind us then it continues, "You were supposed to be here a minute ago. Being on time is ability you will learn to cherish here." I turn around to face the person scolding us, I look up at a women who tower over me. She must be 5 foot 10 or something I guess as I stare at her feeling afraid. She wears a long red dress and a wicked smile on her face.

"Your names." She demanded maliciously the entire room watches this throw down.

"I'm Electra Way." Ellie said fear dripping out of her voice.

"Dylan Myers. " Dylan said meekly which I found odd since she seemed to be a fierce person. I couldn't take how scared this women was making me feel. 

"Zoey Empyre." I growled at the women as I unwittingly make my hands into fist. The women looked like I punched her as she mumbled something that sounded like the child is back. She regained her composure within a few seconds. 

" Welcome Miss Way, Miss Myers and Miss Empyre."She says through gritted teeth at us then continues, "I'm the co-head of this school, my husband is the other co-principal. My name is Maria Gray. Call me Headmistress Gray." Headmistress gray turned to us and said "sho little girls." My head erupted with anger and one of the pies on the big table exploded. Headmistress Gray's eyes widened as she ran over to check on the students that were near the pie. I looked at my hands and thought, could I have done that? Trying to get away from the scene I followed Dylan and Ellie to wear the other kids in our age group were sitting. Dylan sat down next the Samuel and Ellie sat down next to Jacques. I was stuck sitting next to Niall and Max, I managed to groan as I sat down next to them. 

"Did you guys see that pie explode? It was so awesome." Samuel yapped.

"Yeah pretty sick." Added Ryland imitating the explosion with his hands.

"How did it happen?" Jacques wondered as he stared at the remnants of the cake. I tried to ignore what just happened and looked around the room. It resemble the dinning room in the Harry Potter movies that I used to watch every day when I was younger. Max and I would play Harry Potter together in the woods behind our houses. He was no is such a boy next door.  As I continued to think about Max my mind decided it was time to bring me to my past again.

I was sitting at this table next to the green eyed boy but this time he wasn't wearing a hat. His ginger hair stuck in all directions out of his head. He smiled at me as he ate his hot dog. A women's voice resounded from the front of the room. She announced herself to be Headmistress Maria and her husband stood next to her wearing a mischievous smile. The boy grabbed my hand his eyes filled with fear. The evil people are back Zoey. What do we do? He said as he squeezed my hand. I don't know Niall. Maybe we should hide? I whispered as I pulled him under the table, we sat there quietly for a while and soon all the feet disappeared. Niall stared at me and then leaned into me and we fell asleep.

I opened my eyes and I was back sitting next to Niall and Max but they were arguing about something. Niall was the green eyed boy from my flashbacks I thought then blushed. We were really close kids I guessed as I turn to him. He looked into my eyes and smiled the same smile from my flashback. He had a hot dog on his plate, not much has changed in last few years. 

"Nice to see you again Niall." I grabbed some pizza and began to munch on it as I waited for his answer.

"Yeah Zoey. It is." Niall said as he winked his green eye.

" How come I could't remember you at first?" I wondered out loud.

"Oh simple, your memory was wiped. Mine wore off a while ago but I knew we would meet again. As soon as the memory wipe wore off you would notice some changes right?" Niall answered.

"Changes?" I had no clue what he was talking about. My mind was still having trouble wrapping around the idea that I had known Niall in the past. 

"I know that you caused the pie's explosion." Niall whispered then walked out the door. I shivered hoping no one else had heard that because it was pretty creepy.

"Niall's an interesting guy." Max murmured noticing Niall's disappearance. I looked around to see if anyone else had seen this. Dylan and Ellie were immersed in conversations with the other guys. 

"Definitely." I agreed then continued consuming my pizza. 

"He barely unpacked it was almost like he didn't plan on staying here long."

"Wow interesting." I answered sarcastically. 

"If your going to be rude you should leave." Max grumbled as he pointed at the door.

"Maybe I will." I stood up and stormed out of the room with my stomach growling, I'm going to regret this decision later. But I can't be around any annoying boys any more.
