Max's P.O.V
My eyes jolted awake when I heard familiar voices muttering. I got to my feet, and furled my wings. I was sleeping on the Guardian Tree. I peeked behind me and gasped.
On the other side of the tree, as the Nether, where fire blazed everywhere. Barney and Jin were standing there, ambition flaring in their eyes. I rubbed my eyes, but they were really there.
They couldn't see me, so I ducked in front of the bark. They said nothing, and all I could hear were footsteps. Dozens of heatbeats passed, until I sniffed. F-fire!? How? Was it burning the tree!? I thought the tree was...
Before I finished my thought, a leaf was sparked with fire, as I yelped, and flew away. The whole tree was on fire!
"Hehe, good job, dirt." Barney crooned, as Jin smiled. I gasped, opening my wings. I stompd towards them.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" I snarled. Barney wiggled his eyebrows.
"Oh, look. My victim." He jeered. I curled my fists, as the tree was melting down. Barney spoke,
"We want to take over this heaven. We will make this ours!" He laughed.
"And how?" I hissed. He smiled, as a hole was opening in the ground. I gasped.
"Yes, Max. The Void. We will force everyone in there. S-starting with you." Jin said, pushing me. I yelped, falling down. Fear clamped in my body, but I quickly flew back up.
"You know I have wings." I growled.
"I'll just tear it open!" Barney purred, lunging at me, an Eternal Sword in his hands. My eyes widened, but wrapped him with wings, and through him near a tumbleweed of fire. He shrieked, his sides burning. Jin panicked, and fled away, with Barney trailing behind him.
This is not good...This is wretched! This can't happen! I must warn everyone!
Thanks for reading this chapter! :3 I'll update soon :D
