Max's P.O.V
As I shouted my warning, eyes of other angle rested on me, as I began to blush. But this was serious! They began to panic, and flew over to the melted tree.
"Max!" A voice from afar yelled. It...it was Ross' voice! I gasped, my heart soaring. I felt something tackle my wings, as I fell onto the ground.
"Ross!" I exclaimed, kissing his wings. He hugged me, and nuzzled my cheek, causing my face to flush red.
"I missed you...But....we must protect heaven!" I panted. He bobbed his head, as we got tour feet, twin winging out wings with affection and protection.
"Let's get a closer look at the melted tree...and the void..." Ross murmured, fear seeping into his voice. I nodded, as we dashed over to the dead tree. The melting bark smoked, as I coughed. As my death was suffocation, because Barney was crushing my lungs, coughing and smoke would scare me.
"Max...Are you-?"
"I'm fine!" I snapped. I didn't want to talk about it. Ross' eyes darkened, but I tried to ignore it. The void was calling for us, as we scrabbled over, and peered over the edge. My heart flipped to my stomach. I pulled Ross away.
"Don't go near it..." I warned. He pulled me away,
"Yeah, Max." He scowled. The Void's force rippled in the thick air, our eyes lingering on it. I swiftly flew away from it, as I felt the breeze of Ross flying behind me. He was gasping.
"Are you okay?" I asked, looking behind me. He looked really tired,
"I...I never, n-never flew before...it's so hard..." Argh...There's no time for this! I blushed, and scooped him up in my arms,
"Come here." I whispered. Holding him tightly. He squirmed around.
"Oh, so you want me to drop you?" I asked. His eyes widened. He was cute like that. We landed next to the tree (again). We have to wait...The Tree must come back!
"Well...well....well..."
I spun around, curling my wings, and digging them back into my back. No....Barney....Jin...
Half of Barney's face was gray, with one eye white where his eye patch was. His neck was gray and an arrow was stabbed into his leg. A scar was in his eye too.
Jin's throat had an X shape in it, with dry blood on the sides of it. But the rest seemed fine.
"Why, is Ross dead?" Jin asked, frowning. Ross snarled at him,
"I don't love you. I love Max." Jin stood there,
"I know." His voice cracked, not seeming evil for once. His eyes glowed, Ross seeming to have sympathy, but glared at them,
"How dare you try to take over Heaven! Get back on your own side!" Ross threatened. Barney laughed,
"Yeah. Like we'll listen to YOU. You killed me and Jin." His laughed scornfully. I saw silver tears in the corner of Ross' eyes,
"You killed me love! Now you pay! GET IN THE DAMN VOID!"
That's such a bad threaten... Hmm... anyways...how did they melt the tree down so easily? That's no ordinary lava...
"Then I guess we'll have to fight." Barney droned, fangs exposed.
Thank you guys so much for reading! :) I'll update soon :3
