Chapter 9: Wait What?

Jessie's POV

"Tell me this again," I said to Jessica after she got home from her date.

"James had cancer and they don't know how long he's going to live!" Jessica yelled crying.

"It's okay. Go to bed and we'll talk about it tomorrow," I said.

I know it's not okay and what's not okay is that he didn't tell me.

The next day

We had to go to school and we dressed in our dressed for the dance.

Jessica's Dress:

I'm going with my new boyfriend Jacob. He's really cute and has blue eyes.

At the dance

"Hey Jessica where's that boyfriend of yours. Let me guess he died on the way here!" said Jasmine laughing with her friends.

Jessica started crying. I couldn't stop myself I punched her and then walked away with Jessica.

After the dance

After the dance was over Jessica, James, me, and Jacob had dinner at my/Jessica's house. Jacob ended up having to go home so it was just me, Jessica, and James.

Something was going on 28th Jessica and James.

Yesterday

James asked Jessica to marry her here's what happened

Jessica's POV

"James I love you but we're 16!" I really wanted to say yes but I couldn't.

"That doesn't mean we can't be engaged. We'll get married after prom!" he said trying to reason.

"But they don't know if your going to live to go to prom! I'll say yes just because I really would but I can't right now."

"Thank you I love you so much!" he yelled kissing me.

Back to reality

After James went home we texted.

James: I just want prom to be here I want to get married

Me: I want prom to be here too but don't u think that might be too soon

James: Not if I'm going to did

Me: I hate when u say that you act like it's not a big deal

James: We're all going to die some time

Me: Yeah but most of us don't die young I'm going to go to bed love u

James: Love u too
