It was the second day at Jay high. Yay... No not really. I was walking there as usual with Saphire when I got a phone call from my mom. I quickly answered and put the phone up to my ear.
" Hello?" I asked.
" Skyla we need you to come home right now." My mom said with panic in her voice.
" Am I in trouble or something?" I didn't know what I could have done wrong really, and for me that means something was wrong.
" Did I not feed the dog, or did I not do the laundry?" I asked trying to get my answer.
" No sweetie you are not in trouble. We just need you to come home." My mom said in a calmer voice.
" Ok then I will be home in about fifteen minutes." I replied looking at Saphire with confusion.
" Ok bye."
" Bye mom." I hung up the phone and put it back in my back pocket.
" What was that about Skyla?" Saphire asked me. I stopped and looked at her.
" I don't really know. My mom wants me to come back home so I have to go. Sorry Saphire... I will see you later." I replied and then I began to walk quickly back to my house. What could be wrong? I thought about it the whole way back going through ever option. When I got back to the house I saw that all the doors were locked because I couldn't get inside.
" Mom? Dad?" I said knocking on the door. They unlocked it and quickly pulled me into the house. They then ran around the house and looked out all the windows as if to look and see if anyone saw me walk into the house.
" Hello Skyla." My dad said in a calm tone.
" Um hi... dad why is mom panicking?" I said confused.
" We just have a few questions for you that is all sweet heart." My dad said with a serious tone.
" Ok well whatever you think I did I promise that I didn't do it." I said holding my hands up in a surrendering motion.
" Oh no..no honey we don't think you did anything wrong." My mom said. I lowered my arms.
" Oh." I said looking at both of them.
" We just wanted to ask if you were feeling sick today. You looked like you were earlier and your mom and I just wanted to make sure that you were ok?" My dad said.
" I, am fine." I said and then I adjusted my weight.
" What is really going on." I asked. I have known them for my whole life obviously, and so I could tell that something was off.
" Skylar there is nothing going on!" My mom said quickly.
" JULIET! Calm down." My dad yelled at my mom. Then he took her aside and started to whisper to her. I couldn't hear what they were saying so I tried to sneak up to them.
" We asked her the question and she said she didn't feel any different. I am sure it was not past down to her." My dad said in a harsh whisper. HOW DID I HEAR THAT?! I thought for a minute. I was not even close enough to hear them from the distance I was at.
" What do you mean you don't think it was past down to me?" I was the slightest bit concerned on what my dad meant.
" Wait how did you hear that?" My dad said turning around.
" I don't now I just sort of did!" I said taking a deep breath after.
" Is...is there something wrong with me?" I was in a full on panic.
" No Skylar nothing is wrong with you." My mom said.
" Then what is going on!?" I yelled. I felt ready to tear up but at the same time what was to point. I didn't even know what was wrong.
" Nothing just go to schools and we will talk about this later." My dad said.
" I have already called the school." My mom said.
" Ok ." I said angrily. Did they really just call me here to make me upset or something?! After that I ran outside and headed to school.
