I walked to the office and picked up a late slip and then I went to lunch. It felt like time had flown by since I had left my house. I thought about everything that my parents had said about me and if something bad was happening to me. What is going on? Do I have a disease or do am I going to? I was so focused on what was going on that I didn't notice that Saphire was walking next to me.
" Hey girl!" She said. I jumped to the side and accidentally slammed into one of the lockers on the wall.
" HOLY COW SAPHIRE!" I took a deep breath and she started to laugh.
" Oh my Skyla you should have seen yourself just now!" She was laughing so hard that she fell to the ground. I was not in the same mood though so I just stood there and watched her throw her laughing fit. I was starting to get mad at her, but then I remembered that she didn't know what had happened to me this morning.
" Saphire why are you not in class?" I asked.
" Oh ya that... Well I may have ditched class and waited for you to get to school so that I could see if you were ok." She gave me a smile and then stood up.
" Wait how did you know I would be coming back to school though?" I knew that she knew I went back to my house but I never told her I would be at school for sure.
" I just had one of my friendship feelings I guess. Though are you ok you seem a little off." She looked like she was worried but at the same time she was trying to hide it.
" Ya I am fine. My parents just needed to ask me some questions." I replied, and I tried to look happy.
" Well we should probably get to class." Saphire started to walk and I walked beside her.
" Yes we should, but do we even have the same class?" I asked taking off my back pack and pulling out my schedule.
" I have Bio one right now." I said.
" Ow I have Algebra one." She replied.
" What room is your class in?" I said putting my schedule back in my back pack.
" My class is in room 303." She looked at me and smiled.
" How about you Skyla?"
" I have class in 304?" I was confused.
" Well at least our classes are close." Saphire stopped in from of her classroom door.
" Good luck with you teacher." I said laughing.
" You too." She said back.
" Hey at least I have a reason why I was gone, and I have a late slip." I said proudly.
" Ha ha ha." She said and then opened the door and walked in. I walked down to the net room took a deep breath. I slowly turned the door nob and opened the door. I walked in slowly and then closed the door softly. The teacher stood up from her desk and walked over to me.
" Good morning. Please take any of the seats that are left." She held out her hand and I handed her my slip. Then I looked around the room and saw one seat was left. Wow so many seats to chose from. I thought sarcastically. I walked over and sat next to a boy with brown hair and blue eye's.
" Hi my name is Daniel." He whispered after I set my stuff down.
" Mine is Skyla." I replied. I was surprised he was really taking to me because after I actually got a better look at him I knew who he was.
" Wait I know you. You are on the soccer team right?" I asked in a soft whisper.
" Ya and you are volleyball and softball right?" He asked.
" Yep I am." I said confidently.
" Skyla stop talking." The teacher said and then continued her lesion.
" Opps." I said embarrassed. I looked back at Daniel and then back at my desk.
" Hey its fine it happens to my all the time too." He smiled.
" Daniel for the last time stop talking!" The teacher said in a loud voice.
" See." He said in a quiet voice. I chucked and then smiled. We stopped talking after that and listened to the teacher. The lesson was about fractions and finding what it equals. It seemed like the class was lasting forever when the bell finally rang.
" Finally!" I said leaning back in my chair.
" I know right." Daniel said standing and picking up his things. I leaned forward and picked up my bag. Then I stood and started walking out of the class and I noticed Daniel was walking next to me.
" Hey Skyla you seem cool so I was thinking if you wanted to sit with us at lunch today you could." He said and I stopped right there in the hall.
" Really? Cool, but can I bring a friend? She is cool too." I asked. It looked like he was blushing but I got the thought of that out of my head.
" Ya she can come to, and you can bring anyone else you want to as well." He said.
" Thanks Daniel." I said.
" Cool see you then." He walked down the hall and waved. I waved back and headed toward the door to outside. I was going to meat Saphire in the usual spot for free period. I was almost there when I saw her crying on the field. I ran to her and fell down next to her.
" Saphire are you ok?" I asked quickly.
" No I am not!" She said loudly.
" What happened?" I asked. I gave her a quick hug and then sat back to listen.
" Well I was late to class as you know, and I sat next to Kara."
" That mean girl who thinks she is better than everyone?" I interrupted.
" Ya, and she handed me a note and told me to read it after class. So when the bell rang I pulled out the note and read it." She sniffled and wiped the tears from her eye's.
" What did it say?" She handed me the note and I read it to myself. It said...Dear Saphire,
I know you like Jacob but stay the hell away from him. He is so not your type and in my opinion he will never like a girl like you. It is best you leave him alone or I might have to get ride of you... for GOOD! So do us both a favor and go kill YOURSELF!
Kara...I was so pissed at Kara for what she did. I didn't know at the time but I was about to do something that I was going to regret.
