Episode 30 New Friends

Kaitlyn left the donut shop due to her being afraid of the people she saw in there besides the chubby one. She left the store holding her elbows and put her head down, shielding her face and walked to the sandy beach. She placed her legs on the sand and laid there wondering how she was going to get out of that universe. She laid back with her arms behind her to keep her from falling on her back. ''This is going to be a long day'' Kaitlyn sighed. She saw the people she walked out from coming towards the beach with donuts cheering and quickly turned around as if they weren't there. ''Amethyst what are you doing?!'' Someone asked. ''Hahaha! got'cha! you thought I'd hand over this donut?'' Amethyst laughed. 

Amethyst was a slightly thick short girl with long gray hair that went down to her ankles. ''Guys stop arguing hehe I have another one'' Steven said. ''Ok Steven'' Pearl agreed. ''Dude! look over there. Some girl is using some weird type of magic it looks so cool!'' Amethyst smiled. Steven's eyes lit up with amazement and stood there with slobber coming off his mouth. Pearl closed his mouth. ''Hey! guys focus! she could be dangerous!'' Pearl warned. 

''She doesn't look dangerous'' Amethyst pointed out. ''Yeah, she might be nice'' Steven agreed. ''Well I don't! We should go and get Garnet to check this out'' Pearl exclaimed. Pearl grabbed Steven's hand and Amethyst followed as they headed to their house up the street. Kaitlyn turned around while she was playing with her wand and she noticed they were gone. Kaitlyn waved her wand towards the water on accident and caused a huge portal to arise from it. ''Woah! What did I just do?!!'' Kaitlyn yelled. The portal started to drag Kaitlyn in as she grabbed onto the sand which her hands went right through. 

She closed her eyes and began to levitate off the ground and as she was being pulled she felt a hand pulling her back. ''Huh?'' Kaitlyn asked herself as she opened her eyes and looked up. ''Come on guys! Pull!'' Someone yelled. ''Right!'' Pearl agreed. Pearl, Steven, Amethyst and Peridot pulled Kaitlyn out the portal. They used everything they had and as they pulled her out the portal vanished into the water. Everyone fell to the ground from exhaustion. ''Ughhhh!'' Pearl yelled. Kaitlyn was on her stomach and quickly got up to help everyone up. 

Everyone dusted their bodies to get the sand off. ''Thanks... um?'' Kaitlyn asked. ''I'm Garnet'' Garnet introduced. ''I'm Pearl, this is Amethyst, Steven and Peridot'' Pearl pointed out. ''So where are you from? You seem new'' Steven said. ''I'm from Mortagus'' Kaitlyn said. ''What's a Mortagus?'' Amethyst asked. ''It's not a 'what' it's a place'' Kaitlyn said. Garnet and the others took her back to the house and they sat down on the couch. Kaitlyn awkwardly sat there not knowing what to do. Garnet discussed what they were and Pearl added to it. ''So you guys are gems? I've never heard of talking gems but I guess this could work'' Kaitlyn said. 

Garnet and the team asked Kaitlyn to train and they trained together at theAncient Sky Arena. Pearl taught Kaitlyn how to be more balanced. It took a few tries but eventually she learned the tactics of balancing her body a bit more than before, she learned only a small bit because Garnet wanted to teach her something as well. ''You may be a human but you've got me amazed. But there's still much more to learn'' Pearl said. Kaitlyn sensed some jealousy but she ignored it and smiled anyways. Garnet taught her soon after as she began to sing. 

A upbeat tune began with drums. ''You have to always be prepared never flinch, there's going to be battles that'll seem hard but it'll be a cinch. Always stay on your feet as your opponent looks for an opening. They'll notice and take you down as fast as they can. That's why I'm here to teach you the tactics of fighting by hand. I won't allow you to lose and I'll teach you how to be the one who knows what battle stance to choose. I'll be your opponent and show you how this works but don't get too happy because I'm calm. Sometimes I can also be a jerk'' Garnet sung while training Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn and Garnet faced off using their hands and Kaitlyn was getting knocked down countless times.

The song continued as Steven followed off of Garnet and began to help her. ''This is fun! are you new? you can help us on our adventures as we begin our quests anew. I'm Steven the gem that was born from my mom Rose, they tell me all types of stories about her. It makes me sad I couldn't get to physically meet her but she's definitely in me for sure! And I love the gems that stick by my side. They give me confidence and hope. Even though they make me mad I still love them and our adventures are so dope!''. Steven sung. 

Steven and Garnet were teaming up and Kaitlyn and they both were making her work her hardest. Kaitlyn was becoming more aware and more stronger. She began to sing as well. ''I think I understand it now, as far as the eye can see. This is unspeakably the best day that has ever come to me. Thanks you guys, I've been what I've always wanted to be. I've become more aware and I can protect myself and the ones I love more easily without a doubt. I'm no longer the girl who cried and sat there I'm now the girl who isn't afraid to scream and shout! whenever I need the power and energy I'll always use whatever I got to overcome my opponent and make everything good again as it should be''. Kaitlyn finished the song. 

They rose their hands together, all the gems and they cheered and headed back home through a portal.
