Alyse and I said not a word. I don't know which was more impressive, that the man could speak fluently or the apparent fact that there's a mouth beneath the burly facial hair.
"It's true," the man insisted. "The outpost he was in? It exploded. Attacked, probably" He accompanied his words with wide arm gestures.
"Let's get out of here." Alyse said. I dropped our payment on the bar and the barista collected it with a mumbled thanks.
"You have failed in your mission, young witch." The man said as we were passing him. He said it only loud enough for us to hear.
Alyse turned towards the man. "Who are you?"
"Someone who's warning you should take seriously." The man replied. "Don't seek out the Young Prince anymore, you hear me. Just don't."
Alyse smirked and grabbed a pitcher of water from a nearby table, spilled it near the man's feet, then the spilled water burst in flames. Alyse didn't have matches to start the flames, not that water was combustible in the first place. Guess this is magic
"I'll repeat," Alice said. "Who are you?"
"I am as I have said," the man "I am someone who's wa-" the man stopped because right there and then, the flames disappeared.
Then his beard went on fire. The man panicked and knocked his table over. The barista pouring a pail of water on the man was the last thing I saw before the door closed as we left.

Alyse accompanied me back to the Palace, it was already night.
"That was flashy." I said.
"It didn't even tire me," Alyse said proudly. "I learned that in my first year of witch training."
"You didn't even mumble a magic word or something."
"Spells and chants are for beginners." She said, we are now before the palace gates. "I can do magic with a mere thought now. There are exceptions of course."
"I guess Prince Aeon would welcome a witch to his palace." I said, suggestively
"Oh no," she answered. "I got somewhere else to go. I'm on a mission, remember."
"Why don't you come in?" I insisted. "To ask Prince Aeon whether it's true or not that the Young Prince is dead. Maybe he could even help you with your mission."
"Absolutely not." Was Alyse's firm reply. "You should rest. I heard that you'll be leaving tomorrow."
"When can we see each other again?" I said. " We just met again... this is sad."
"We'll see each other again." Alyse said, a reassuring smile appearing on her face. "I can feel it, you know. I know we will see each other again. Very soon. Good night, Feyre" With that, she walked off into the night.
When I entered the palace there was no one there. The clock was showing that it's only the ninth hour of the evening. I walked up the grand staircase directly fronting the door I just entered through.
The hallway leading to the room I'm staying in is directly in front of me but I was drawn towards another room, down by he wrong hallway. I push open the door to that room and found myself inside a music room.
On the center of the room was a grand piano. On one side, a cello was resting on its stand, a violin was also beside it. I approached the piano.
My mother insisted upon my father that I learn at least one musical instrument. That I have music in my life.
No surprise that my mother would want that considering that she is a singer and her family was very much into it. Actually, their family loved music so much that her other siblings all had musical names.
I sit in front of the piano and gracefully place my fingers on the keys, just as I was taught. Whenever I see a piano, there's only one piece that comes to mind. A piece that cries out to be played. I hit the first note and the song took over my body.
My fingers danced over the keys as if of their own accord. The song has reached its crescendo and approaching legato when someone spoke.
"Did you make that?" A voice from behind me said. The music left me and I turned around...and saw Prince Levi.
He was leaning on the terrace of the room, the wind whipping up his dark hair. With the dark background he looked imposing. Like a dark knight coming to rescue a lady of silver moonlight. Looks like my creative mind is on the roll.
"I recognize almost every song written in the kingdom," he pushed himself off the terrace railing and entered the room, closing the door behind him. The room suddenly seemed small. "The song you were playing, I don't recognize it. It was your own wasn't it?"
I nod. At the capital city, I often hear about the prince's beautiful looks and now that he's right in front of me, I find out it was all true.
The Young Prince has the golden blonde hair of her mother, the Dragon Queen. His tunic was made of cotton, such a rare and valuable thing that only royals could afford to have. A sword was sheathed on his left side, he's probably left handed. Overall, the Prince is an attractive young man.
"What is your name, young lady?"
"Feyre," I replied. "Feyre Corvette is my name, fair prince. It is an honor to meet you." I curtsied
"Call me Levi." He said. "Meeting such fair lady such as yourself... the honor is mine." He took my hand and planted a small kiss on the back of my hand.
"If you say so," I said. "If you don't mind, I want to speak about the elephant in the room."
"Go on." Levi took a seat on a seat beside the cello. He looked curious and interested.
"You were in an outpost along the wall," I started. "I heard that it was attacked and...you died."
The Prince laughed heartily. "Oh my," he said, taking a pause. "Such rumors... so far fetched. I take it that you didn't believe it?"
"I don't really know," I answered. "I don't really believe in rumors. I usually just wait for the facts."
"Well," he said, standing up and spreading his hands in a wide gesture to indicate himself. "You have the facts now." Then he turned his head abruptly to the side, as if listening to something. "I'm hearing telltale sounds of a scuffle."
"I don't hear anything." I said, standing up. "Must be the wind."
"It's not that." He rushed towards the door and exited the room, I was following close.
We went back to the hallway and found ourselves back at the grand staircase. Prince Levi went on towards the middle hallway, the hallway leading to the rooms my family are currently staying in.
My room was still three doors down when we stopped before a door. Prince Levi placed his ears on the door to listen inside. Then he pushed it open.
The opening of the door revealed my mother and father, leaning on the headboard of the bed, their throats slit open.
