I'm rooted to the spot. And I can't take my eyes off the two corpses that were my parents. Levi approached the bed and checked the corpses. He pressed two fingers on both of my parent's wrists to check for a pulse. Of course, there was none.
Levi approached me and said something about an alarm then left the room I slowly approached the bed and looked at my parents.
They were pale, eyes staring out into space, their blood freshly staining the silken sheets. Their wounds were still slightly bleeding, indicating that they were murdered and left here only a short time ago. Maybe the culprit is still here. I noticed something on my father's hand. He was holding a pair scissors. I backed away.
It's impossible.
My father couldn't have killed my mother and himself. They never fought over anything. Hell, I didn't even hear them arguing since forever. No, this is murder.
"Young mistress," one of my maidservants approached me. "You must not be in here. Prince Levi told me you were here and advised me to take you away. Come, let us go." I followed her out of the room, my mind only had one thought.
Whoever did this, I'm going to search the ends of the earth for the bastard and kill him in ways that hell couldn't even imagine.

When morning came , I was having breakfast in my room when a servant of Prince Aeon entered
"Milady," the servant, the same servant who led me to my room yesterday, said in greeting. "Prince Aeon has requested me to tell you that an undertaker is downstairs and will explain what he thinks about your parent's..."
"Murder." I finished.
"Yes, milady." The chestnut haired servant affirmed. "I am to accompany you to him once you are ready."
"I am ready." And we left my room and went downstairs and into the throne room.
Prince Aeon was seated on the main throne, and he gestured for me to take a seat on the head of the long table set up just before the throne.
On the long table, which was positioned vertically before the throne, were seated 12 people. All of which I have no idea who. I took my place at the head of the long table, just before the steps leading to the Prince's throne. Then a thin man wearing gray robes sat on the other side of the long table, directly fronting me. He must be the undertaker.
"You may proceed." The Prince on the throne said.
"Lady Corvette," the undertaker said. "I have finished examining your parents' corpses and have found out that their slit throat was the wound that killed them. I have also gathered that the weapon used to make the wound was the scissors in your father's hand."
I held up a hand, signalling him to pause. "And everyone in this room thinks that my father killed my mother," I said, looking at the people gathered in the room.
"It is certainly one angle to look at," a man with a bulbous figure said. "Though there are still other angles."
"Tell me, sir." I said, leaning into my seat. "What are the other angles?"
"They are quite numerous actually," the fat man, who didn't even introduced himself to me, said. "But the investigation is ongoing on the angle of the Prince Levi murdering your parents."
I shot him a sharp look, so sharp a dagger would be ashamed. "You assume too much." I said. "The Prince Levi and I were in the music room when he heard the skirmish. That's when we rushed to my parent's room and found the gruesome sight.
"
"Excuse me," the fat man said. "Did you say that he heard the skirmish? From the music room?"
"Yes."
"I'm sorry but I find it absurd."
"Actually, that's not." The Prince spoke. "Lord Thad, I believe that you are underestimating the abilities of my family as Dragons. Let me demonstrate it then." He stood from his throne and went behind it with a sweep of his cape.
We waited for a few moments when we heard a distinct growl. Then from Behind the throne, a huge red dragon appeared. The Dragon roared and rested one paw at the throne. Its head reared up with dignity incomparable to that of a king.
The Dragon was both majestic and terrible. It's scales were blood red where the sunlight hits it. Spikes were jutting out along it's back, the spikes growing taller as it nears the head. The Dragon moved towards our table.
It dipped its head, making it hover just above the fat man, Lord Thad, and puffed black smoke right over his head. The Dragon then made choking sounds, maybe the Dragon version of laughter, then made its way back to the throne.
It went around the throne, through the back then sat on it as Prince Aeon once again. "Aside from being able to turn into a dragon," Prince Aeon started. "We also have heightened senses when we're in human form. We could also breathe fire while still human."
I gulped and adjusted my seat. Then I cleared my throat. "Where is Prince Levi?" I said, suppressing a laugh while looking at Lord Thad's smeared face. "He has the right to be here."
"Oh he'll be here," Prince Aeon said. "He'll be here in about..."
He trailed off and stared at the door to the throne room. I followed his line of sight and saw Prince Levi striding towards the long table.
Wait. Can Levi transform into a Dragon, too?
"I'll make this quick." He went up to the steps that led to his brother's throne. "I know who murdered Lady Corvette's parents and I know where to apprehend...him" he seemed uncertain how to identify the culprit.
"Where is he, then?" A thin bald man asked.
"Somewhere only me and Feyre could go," I was shocked by his answer. Where is this place that only he and I could go? I looked behind me, at Aeon, who was calmly observing his younger brother.
Prince Aeon was smiling approvingly. Wherever this place is, it's part of these two bothers' plans, and I get the feeling that I am right in the middle of it.
"This cannot be allowed." Lord Thad exclaimed. Then the room went chaotic after that. I felt Levi take my forearm and slightly dragged me up the steps. Levi stopped before the Prince and placed a hand on his brother's shoulder. "Can I count on you on this?" He asked.
"I've been covering up your mischief since the day you learned to be mischievous," Prince Aeon said. "Go and do what you have to do. Don't be reckless, you're with a lady."
Levi nodded. He pulled me towards the opening, the side of the throne room with no wall. It took me a second later to connect the dots.
Levi tossed me on his back and jumped off. I wrapped my arm around his neck so tightly and I couldn't scream because of shock and the sudden downward jolt. Then I felt Levi turn into a Dragon.
I felt his shoulder grow wider apart. His skin was starting to feel cold and scaly. It was also starting to take on a bluish tint. A flap of wings and our descent slowed down then we started going upwards.
"We're going on an adventure, Lady Corvette." Levi said. "An adventure of your lifetime."
Maybe. Because as long as the murderer of my parents is free on this earth, my lifetime would be all about seeking for him.
