Surviving The Games (Chapter 7)~His Revenge Reversed

Laurance's POV

Aph and I run to the center. We were almost on the cold ice, when someone tackled me. 

"YOU WILL PAY FOR ABBY." Someone growls. 

My vision clears. Jeffory Goldenheart. Aphmau pushes him off me me, then he's on top of her. 

"We wouldn't of killed her if she didn't shoot first." Aphmau states, trying to be calm.

Her palms are shaking, signaling me that she's nervous. I aim my bow at him, but then aim it at a girl with orange hair. 

"Lucinda Witchcraft." I say. 

Her eyes widen, then she disappears in a gust of smoke. I aim back to Jeffory. He's gone. With Aphmau. WHAT DID I JUST LET HAPPEN?

Aphmau's POV

As Laurance is distracted, Jeffory covers my mouth and swoops me off my feet. I struggle, then lick his hand. 

He flinches back, "LAURANCE." I screech. 

Jeffory covers my mouth again. I hear footsteps running our way. I continue to struggle as Jeffory pulls me along. 

"LUCINDA. POTIONS. NOW." Jeffory yells. 

My eyes widen as he says that. Someone jumps from the trees, "Are we knocking her out or killing her?" Lucinda asks. 

Jeffory thinks for a second, "Lets knock her out for now. We'll make her suffer, then kill her." He smirks. 

"NOONONONONONOO." I yell, but my voice comes out muffled due to Jeffory's hand over my mouth. Lucinda pulls out a dark blue potion. 

"Jeffory, lay her on the ground." Lucinda commands. 

He does as she says. I immediately try to run, but I feel something hit my back. Liquid runs down my back, then I fall to the ground, everything going black.

Jeffory's POV

Silly Aphmau. She tries to run once I set her on the ground. Lucinda throws the potion immediately, then she falls to the ground in seconds. I pick her up, then Lucinda and I make our way to the hideout with Aphmau in my arms. Aphmau, take this as revenge for killing my sister. Laurance... We're after you next.

Laurance's POV

I search frantically for Aphmau. I search for about an hour, then give up to go get the others. I bolt to the center and get the resources for our district. The only ones left are two and twelve. I grab both of them and run off. 

"GUYS." I scream. 

Everyone's attention is directed towards me. Kenmur walks over to me first, "Where's Aph?" He asks. 

"Well... That's the problem. Jeffory Goldenheart and Lucidna Witchcraft abducted her." I state. 

"Do you know where she is?" Dante asks. 

"No! I'd be with her right now if I knew!" I growl, stressed.

"When should we start searching?" Cadenza asks.

"As soon as possible. We should all go in pairs." I reply, "Cadenza, you're coming with me. Kenmur, you're with Garroth. Katelyn, you're with Zenix. Dante, you're coming with Cadenza and I." I pair everyone up. Everyone goes to the person they were assigned to, then start on their way, "Meet back here at Midnight." I command. 

Dante, Cadenza and I are then on our search. We walk along the center, me holding our resources from the center tightly in my palms. My hands shake as we line the caves and icy center. Cadenza suddenly gets tackled, so Dante pushes the person off before I can. 

"Jeffory." I growl. 

I run to him and throw a punch. Blood trickles from his mouth, but he smiles weakly then wipes the blood, it now smearing against his cheek. Jeffory kicks me in the knee, causing me to stumble back. 

"Dante, get Cadenza out of here." I command. 

I hear the two of them run off, "Awh, trying to save your sister? She'll be dead before the end of the games and you know it." Jeffory smirks. 

"She'll win if I have anything to do with it." I growl, then punch him in the chest. 

I dodge his next attack, then I pull out my bow. I load it, but then the bow shrivels into multiple pieces and flies out of my hands. I whip my head around to see Lucinda standing there. Aphmau is above her in a glowing bubble. 

"Give her back and take me instead!" I growl. 

Lucinda ponders, "Uhh..." She starts, then smirks, "No." She says. 

I grab the emerald tipped spear on my back and stab her with it. Lucinda falls to the ground. The cannon doesn't go off though... I stab Jeffory as well, him falling to the ground too. Aphmau falls from the bubble. I catch her, put the spear on my back then run off. A blinding light forms behind us. I whip my head around to see a weak Jeffory and Lucinda. I scowl, yet they don't seem to notice me, so I continue running until I get to the cave where my alliance hides out. It's now dark, so I see everyone else there. Cadenza runs over to me, then takes Aphmau. Aph is surprisingly light, so Cadenza doesn't struggle. Cadenza takes Aph inside to heal her, or to at least wake her up. 

"Did anyone die?" Kenmur asks me. 

"No... Jeffory and Lucinda took Aph tho. I knocked them out with my spear, but Lucinda then healed Jeffory and herself, so they're both alive." I explain. Kenmur nods, then runs inside to Cadenza. I walk to Garroth and Dante, "Dante, thanks for taking care of her." I thank him. Dante nods, then I direct my attention to the teal-eyed-blondie.

"What happened? You have a scar running down your cheek." I inspect his wound. 

"Cadenza fixed it some.. But I got swiped by Amber Whincheck." Garroth says. 

"Oh..." I trail off. The three of us then walk into the cave to see Aphmau now slightly awake. 

"Guys, throw the snow over the entrance, then we'll start the fire." I command.

Katelyn and Kenmur go outside to seal the entrance. I see a blanket of snow fall over the entrance. Kenmur and Katelyn come thru a small hole under the huge snow blanket. Garroth then starts a fire and we cover up the entrance with another blanket of snow so people don't see the fire's glow. 

We then cook some food that Dante and Garroth had hunted earlier. Once we finish eating, I put the fire out and we slip onto the ground. Katelyn has the night watch right now, so I fall asleep almost immediately.
