Sometimes, Satan kind of sounds like God, doesn't he? He says things that sound like a great idea, then he lets you destroy your sanity and conscience, all the while watching amused. Isn't it strange how bad ideas sound so good in the moment, and when you realize you've been snared into a trap, it's too late to change your mind? Don't let the devil tell you what a failure you are. Demons show no mercy, and they shame you constantly.
But God forgave you, and He loves you, and He doesn't want you to be guilty any longer. Let Christ's love bring you peace, and meditate on the fact that forgiveness came from Him. At the Cross, on Redemption's Hill, that day at calvary. Jesus finished the devil and his minions.
Death was arrested.
Satan was defeated.
Sin had to give up its victims to the mercy of God.
Remember these things as you live your life for the Almighty Creator of all things.
Remember that God was thinking of you.
