Yesterday, I asked one of my friends a series of questions about things that bothered me about Christianity (religion in general) and the divine will of God. I wasn't sure if I really believed some of the things I've claimed to represent. The responses I got were:
"That's something you'll just have to ask Him."
"What fun is learning if you know all the answers?"
While it's irritating for me to swallow down these answers, in the end, he's kind of right. Leaning on what I know makes leaning on God extremely difficult. If I don't tackle these questions I have that bother me with Him, I'll never get anywhere with my faith. That's precisely what I've been doing lately, and God, without fail, has led me/carried me through. I just think I get discouraged from time to time. I remind myself almost daily that I can trust God, because He hasn't ever left me.
So, up top is Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path." (NKJV)
