QUICK FEET AND SHORT BREATHS,
NOSE TINTED PINK FROM THE CHILLED AIR.adelaide nearly sprinted down the somewhat crowded vancouver street, body shivering from the thin jacket that rarely helped her. goosebumps dotted her pale skin, thin fingers stiff from the light snowfall beginning to rain down from the cotton ball clouds.
sophia, one of adelaide's closest friends growing up, had invited the blonde girl to stay with her and the rest of her friends in a fancy hotel located in the busier area of the canadian city for a couple weeks.
that was where addie was headed, the large hotel that she was having immense trouble finding. she knew that she was close, the only thing the blonde was looking for was a tall building with the hotel name. she still had no idea, there were lots of tall buildings.
as adelaide turned the corner, focused on one of the buildings that she was sure was the hotel, her body was flung into another by an annoyed man passing. yes, she was shoved into a completely stranger.
her face bashed against his chest, the small teen immediately letting out a squeal of surprise and complete and utter embarrassment.
she thought the whole 'accidentally running into and tormenting a stranger' was the worst part, but the universe hated her guts.
adelaide lost her footing, knees buckling slightly. the event of scabbing on her knees was prevented when arms wrapped around her slim figure and kept her from slamming against the concrete beneath her.
"holy—i'm sorry, i'm super sorry!" adelaide said with a panicked tone, immediately regaining composure and hiding her pink stained cheeks.
"no, no. my fault." a voice responded, arms releasing her torso and the taller person taking a step back.
"wait, adelaide?" a familiar feminine voice caused addie's head to snap up, eyes widening. "wait, what the actual fuck?"
arms were thrown around her small figure, a familiar head of red hair resting against her shoulder. adelaide looked up, seeing a group of guys awkwardly standing on the opposite side of her.
the curly haired boy, the taller one in the group, had his arms crossed over his chest and a smirk plastered on his lips. realization slammed into the mind of adelaide as she quickly averted her gaze to the concrete beneath her boots.
sophia pulled away from adelaide's smaller body, a wide smile on her face. "we were actually coming to see if we could find you anywhere! looks like you found us, more specifically, wyatt."
adelaide ignored sophia, crossing her arms over her stomach and clenching her fists. "uh, yeah." she said bluntly, cheeks tinted pink from the cold weather and the blush that had spread across her skin.
sophia was quick to introduce addie to the 'losers club,' making sure to remind the blonde that she had slammed into one of the guys.
sophia, along with the rest of the people, began sprinting down the street when the snowfall picked up and temperatures dropped. two people didn't venture off at a quick pace, two people stayed back with each other and took their time.
wyatt and adelaide slowly walked to the gorgeous hotel, surrounded in a comfortable silence as they moved throughout the vancouver streets.
the pair had no idea that they would soon fall.
they had no idea they would soon fall completely and utterly in love with each other.—
