the next day approached, snow falling from the sky and masking the entire city in a thick white blanket. adelaide woke earlier, sophia knocked out on the bed next to her.

her footsteps were soft, barely making any noise on the wood flooring. she quietly opened her door, slipping out of the bedroom. she was met with all of the boys passed out on either the couch or the bed.

she immediately noticed wyatt wasn't apart of the sleeping ensemble.

wyatt was in the kitchen, going through the groceries that the guys had purchased the night before. he was placing everything in the counters, making barely any noise.

his mind wasn't focused on the task at hand.

he was focused on addie's features that were stuck in his brain.

adelaide walked into the kitchen, a small gasp leaving her mouth when she saw him. "crap, sorry. you freaked me out." she whispered, not wanting to wake any of the sleeping people.

wyatt jumped slightly, turning on his heel and looking at adelaide. "no, my fault."

adelaide quietly walked over, standing next to wyatt. "thank you again, for last night." she said softly, turning her head upwards and looking at his taller frame.

wyatt was already staring down at her, biting his bottom lip softly. "yeah, no problem." he said quietly, eyes never leaving her features.

"god, you're beautiful."

adelaide's eyes widened as she quickly looked down, a blush creeping up her cheeks.

"did i just say that out loud?" wyatt said quietly, body frozen in complete and utter horror. "yep, mhm."

finn and jack thought it would be an amazing idea to go to one of the parks and mess around in the blankets of snow.

that's how everyone ended up freezing their asses off, all crammed into a small cafe in the biggest booth possible.

adelaide was squashed between jaeden, and wyatt. jae was chatting it up with sophia, leaving addie quiet and wyatt awkwardly sitting there.

shivers still spread throughout her small frame, hands red. her nose was tinted pink, cheeks nipped at by the cold winter wind.

wyatt couldn't look away from her face.

he counted the freckles that littered her cheeks and nose, taking notice of her trembling bottom lip and tinted nose.

his large hand dropped to his thigh, pinky brushing against adelaide's thumb.

her cheeks were now red from a blush.

adelaide wanted him to grab her hands, warming her freezing palm up with knuckles kisses and a tight grasp.

she felt her hand brush up against his own, more skin touching as she wrapped her hands around the hot mug in front of her.

wyatt wanted to warm her hands. he didn't want a cup to do his job.

as everyone walked out of the cafe, hit with another slam of cold, wyatt couldn't help himself.

his hand found hers, warm skin caressing her chilled palm.
