"I'M SERIOUS EDENNE, what's wrong?" Adrienne asked sternly, hands gripping the steering wheel anxiously. "You've been quiet ever since...well, I'm not even sure when it started. You're acting strange."
Edenne shrugged nonchalantly, looking out the window. "Nothing happened." She murmured.
Adrienne rolled her eyes. "I know something happened, come on. You can tell me, no one else is here."
Sighing, Edenne turned slightly to face her. "I told him."
"Told him what?"
"That I wasn't over him."
"What the fuck Edenne?"
"I know, but I'm so confused about his reaction." She flashed back to what happened...
He stepped back, rocking on the heels of his feet. "Oh, wow." He chuckled. "That's pretty direct for the Ede I know." He ran his fingers through his hair. "Are you drunk?"
She furrowed her eyebrows with frustration. "I'm not drunk, Dylan. I don't drink. Can you at least stay on topic?"
Back at the benches, Alyssa stomped her feet on the sand. "I really can't take it anymore, they've been there for half an hour!"
Shrugging, Adrienne coughed. "I mean, you can just go. You're not driving with them or anything. Sabia already left, you can drive alone too. I'm just waiting for Edenne because I came with her."
She glared at Adrienne, hair swinging so fast she flapped herself in the face. "Well, I don't care. I'm not about to let my brother be tricked by that...that..."
"Watch your mouth Lyssa." Adrienne cooed warningly, a candy cigar between her lips.
"That...maniac!"
"There we go." Adrienne smirked. "I'll go to the car, you tell Edenne I'm waiting."
He smiled playfully, arms crossed across his chest. She took every ounce of willpower not to stare at his bulging triceps. "You really still like me?" He bit his lip, head tilting on one side.
"Yes, I just said that earlier." She growled.
"Well then-"
"Guys! We have to go! It's...The beach is closing in five minutes!" Alyssa blurted.
Staring curiously at Edenne, he asked, "Beaches have a closing time?"
She shrugged, an eyebrow rising with confusion. "Apparently."
"Alright, let's go."
"Wait, you need to tell me your answer." She muttered, grabbing his arm.
"I'll tell you soon, sweetheart." He poked her nose.
"No." She growled, "You tell me now."
"Don't worry about-"
She kicked his back and he stumbled off balance, using that opportunity, Edenne used all her might to push him into the water, running away, smirking.
