IT WAS THREE IN THE AFTERNOON, the blue was so clear in the sky and the sun was out. It was perfect for a small little date. She didn't think it was going to be all too official, so she only put on her grey sweatshorts with a tank top and a hoodie - basically the exact same outfit she had on when she bumped into him at the supermarket. As she sat outside on her front porch, waiting for Dylan to pick her up, Aria walked up behind her.

Tapping Edenne's shoulder softly, Aria flicked some dust off of her cigarette. "Hey, you're all jumpy again." She smiled.

"What do you mean?" Edenne shot back, slightly embarrassed.

Aria pinched her shoulder, snickering. "You're all tingly and shaky like how you used to be like whenever you were getting ready to go to school on a field trip day." She took a puff out of her cigarette. "Good times, you were cuter back then too."

Edenne rolled her eyes, a smile climbing onto her face.

As a young child, Aria had already lived with Edenne. Aria was three years older than her, so she always held the role of the older sister Edenne never had. It wasn't an extended family that lived in Edenne's house, but Aria's parents were always busy and out of the city, state, or country, leaving her at home alone most of the time. Edenne's parents didn't think it was safe for Aria, so they practically raised her ever since she was 9. They've been together since they were very young, so Edenne always felt comfortable with Aria.

"It's alright," Aria sighed into the air. "Just relax and have fun. You always tense up whenever there's anything that involves romance."

"I know, thanks." Edenne replied. A car rolled up to the front and honked loudly.

"I guess that's for you." Aria tapped Edenne's back, reaching out for a hug.

Surprised at the sudden skinship, she leaned in with a big smile on her face. "It's been a long time since we've done anything like...this." Edenne laughed.

"Well, me neither. Have fun!" Aria winked and shoved Edenne off of the porch, sending her stumbling towards the car. Edenne dusted off her jacket and entered the white BMW.

"Well hello there." Dylan chuckled, with a black hoodie on, black jeans, and his hair messed up in slight waves and curls. "That was some entrance there, thank you."

"Shut up, fuckboy." Edenne laughed, tossing her head back and throwing her hair behind her shoulders, putting her seatbelt on. "Where are we going?"

"Tea place, I told you." He leaned back and pressed on the gas. "Afterwards, we're going for some art viewing."

"Alright-" Something gold and shiny fell out of her pocket, making a crumple noise on the floor. She reached down for it, freezing.

An awkward cough came out of Dylan, trying to overcome his laughter. "That's a little...forward."

She glared at him. "Shut up, Dylan. I didn't do this." She picked up the gold condom. So this was truly why Aria wanted to hug her. She was going to die when Edenne got home.

"No, I mean if you wanted to bang instead of go somewhere cute for the first date, that'd be fine with me-"

"Shut the fuck up, Dylan."
